I feared the tuning system would disappoint me. I was wrong. Works great and is easy to use and fast. The neck has a just right feel and the action is very good, plenty of room for bends. Fingering is easy and mine required nearly no set up at all. Near buzz free with the strings low to the neck. In fact, for my style of playing I will more than likely raise the action when I change the strings. The tones are all in here. All but a true Fender quack can be found. Jazz to metal covered with nice articulation right through hard rock overdrive. As Les Pauls go, this one is a winner considering it is on the less costly end of the line. Mine is Blue and the finish is outstanding, one of the prettiest guitars I have owned. Over 38 years I have owned many, many guitars . I would have to give this model high marks and recommend purchasing one if this is your price point!

Looks great and plays better. The split coil features give the widest range of tones I have ever experienced. Still experimenting but I rarely use anything other than the clean channel on the various amps in my collection using this LP. It chimes like a bell, growls like a tiger and everything in between. Exceeds my highest expectations. Almost too much guitar. Almost. Looking forward to a long relationship with this baby.

Have owned mine for 8 months now and can only find one thing I was disappointed in,the signature Les Paul wore off in less than a month of playing. As far as the sound goes, what more could you want? I play Gospel,Classic Rock,Blues and Country and no matter what I play, it does it all and very well. I have changed the string to the new D Addario NY XL 's and they play much better and bend way easier than what came on the guitar. The Min-E Tune is more than what I'd expected too,and has more features than most people will use ,but so nice to be able to push /strum and play.I got the Wine Red color and is very rich in wood grain and is as pretty as any of the LP's I've seen at any price. Along with the 18 months payment plan ,I couldn't resist.Glad I bought this and NO regrets!

...this is THE git-fiddle I had in my mind all along. This thing comes with all the high-end aesthetic appeal you look for in a Custom (say the black beauty), including the functional appointments that make this the guitar you'll keep next to the control chair in the studio. We all know coil splitting a humbucker isn't going to make you think you're holding a strat, but in the midst of a gig if you're a one guitar man (or woman), it does fine. The +15 dB boost is a real treat. It can replace that OD or compressor that you use for a lead boost. Even better, we all love boosting...so Gibson has given you a boost to boost your boost. It's wonderful. It's one of the finest playing guitars I've layed my hands on. Well worth the dough I put into it.

I've been reluctant to buy Les Paul because of its weight, but modern weight relief design and other advanced technology feature like the Min-Etune tuner prompted me to buy it.. I got mine Tues April 2 and very excited to open the box. Wow, Wow wow! the finish and the color is out of this world. I love it! I plug it to my Blackstar amp to see how it sounds, Wow again! It's incredible combination. The Etune is fantastic! Also I like to thank Eric from the customer support for all the answered questions I had. What a wonderful company to deal with.

Well this is the first Gibson Les Paul that I purchased new in January of 2016. I originally wanted a Standard but I do not like the thinner neck. I opted for the Signature. The guitar arrived right on time. I used the 12 month zero percent payment plan (best thing ever). The guitar arrived in pristine condition. With the exception of the nut and needing frets dressed. I had a bone nut put on and the frets dressed. I did have to setup the guitar to my liking after getting it back from technician. I also swapped the bridge pickup for a Burstbucker Pro. The quick connects on pickups make it simple to do. The Vintage Sunburst has a great finish. I would really love to have one of these in every finish. People complain about the boost switch replacing one of the tone knobs, to me that is trivial. I like the boost and I never use pedals so it's win win for the true purists. The Min-etune system works but I can't keep in tune for a complete song. Have tried several different strings to no avail. Not sure if all are this way but I like the system but I may have to replace it if I can't find a fix for this. zZounds has been really good to me and I love my Les Paul. It has the traditional weight relief, which brings it to 9 plus pounds and gets a little heavy after a while for me. I have 2 Studios and I do love them all but this one is a true gem, by far my favorite so far. I am looking forward to getting one more Les Paul later this year. The one constant about Gibson Les Pauls is they make everything you plug into sound great. I am still getting used to the bulkiness they have compared to the Start style guitars I have played for 30+ years before venturing to the world of Gibson LPs. zZounds has some great deals on them if you time it right. I plan on using them for several future purchases after having a good experience with them.

"Gibson 2014 Les Paul Signature Min-ETune Electric Guitar (with Case) from Zzounds"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

I have been waiting years to buy another Gibson Les Paul. Over the last forty years I have owned two previously. I took advantage of Zzounds 12 payment plan (play as you pay) and was able to buy this guitar on my budget without having to pony up what these cost in one payment. I love Zzounds :-)
Sound
I have always wanted guitars that would not get in my way as I played. That would not make it harder than it should be to make music. This Les Paul is VERY stable and the harmonics are wonderful. The range of tones I can make with it and my fingers is quite pleasing to me. So far I have found all the frets are perfect. They should be for this price.
Features
The choice of tone woods I left up to Gibson, for they know things I don't. The pickups sound great to me. It plays without amplification to begin with, then you plug it in and more magic appears. The e-tune is a big deal for me. Sometimes I have trouble hearing the standing waves to tune, especially in noisy environments.
Ease of Use
I was able to start playing right away. It just took a few minutes to get used to the neck and the frets. I am able to play way up the neck, further than other guitars I have had. Iyt is a little heavy, so I bought Gibson's best strap and that helped a lot.
Quality
I believe in Gibson, that they make quality guitars. With this guitar, if there is something wrong with the sound, it is me. The frets extend all the way to the edge of the binding on the neck, making tremolo easier on the outside strings.
Value
I believe so. I keep my instruments in fine condition, and the resale value for a guitar that has dried out in a good way, and still has it's glamour should be good, especially as time goes on. Les Pauls tend to age well in my experience.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had a need to deal with them yet, but I have high expectations. Gibson wants people playing these instruments, and wants the Gibson Les Paul, like the Fender Stratocaster, to be respected, reliable instruments.
The Wow Factor
I only want to own a few guitars. I have a Martin 000C-16RGTE-Aura, A Fender Stratocaster, and now this Les Paul. I also have a Marshall Vintager Modern tube amp, and a Fender tube amp. I like to play clean (without distortion) and the tones this guitar produces have entranced the few people who have heard me playing on it. My fantasy to have this core collection of equipment has now come true and it is up to me to be worthy of these instruments. The start is for rhythm and the Les Paul is for lead (in general).

Musical Background:

I have been playing since 1973, and I primarily play the guitar.

Musical Style:

I play rock, country, blues, and Christian.

"Signature Les Paul, Thrilling of course"

This purchase was my third Les Paul. As expected this product lives up to it's reputation as another of Gibson's classic instruments. Starting with the case, I could see that the instrument was safely contained in a well designed container. It is likely I could have jumped up and down on the case without damaging either it or the instrument inside. After opening the case, my breath was taken away by the beauty of the instrument. Once I picked it up to play that is when the real fun started. I expect electric guitars to be guitars first. Lovely sustain and tone was evident before I even plugged in. The Min-ETune feature is interesting to watch in operation. I got the impression from the description that a simple strum or two would be enough, but in fact I discovered that it worked best to play each note individually until l was in tune. Some strings took much longer than I expected. The fact that the battery supporting the ETune steppers is rechargeable was a pleasant surprise. I found the locking mechanism which helps hold each strafing on the tuning peg to be counter-intuitive. The thumb-nuts are not that finger-friendly. I didn't really like the design of the lock-down mechanism, which I found not very user-friendly. After wrapping the string around the peg several turns, you guide the string through a gap for another turnaround the peg where the thumb-bolt can lock it down. The gap is too small in my opinion and difficult to keep engaged while turning down the thumb-bolt. I was taught to wrap wire in such a direction that a locking nut would tend to tighten it instead of loosening it, and I found this tricky in this case.
