Feature:
The 24 frets is a plus and a rare thing for gibson. One volume and one tone that's it, which to me is a little annoying compared to my old custom. The flame top is outrageous, you can stare at it for hours. (mine is black pepper)
Quality:
Mine has a few nicks now but was in pristine condition when I bought it. It does need to be set-up with significant temperature changes. But a move to Florida fixed that. But it is easy enough to set-up yourself if you are one of those suckers in the cooler climates
Value:
It's a guitar initially it will lose value, it's not a collectors item. but it is irreplacable to me.
Desirability:
It sounds great, it looks great, it plays great.
Sound:
I am quite partial to the sound of my les paul dc. When I bought it I was playing through a Peavey transtube 60w express. Which it sounded fantastic through. I recently bought a peavey 40w triple xxx. It sounds even better through this amp. I have played this guitar through about every amp and effect you can think of as it often travels to the music store with me to try stuff out. It nearly plays itself and there isn't a dead spot anywhere on the fretboard. Because of the chambered body it is slightly more audible than the standard les pauls when it is not plugged in. Go play one and see if you can put it down.
Support:
No need to speak to them.
Overall:
Who doesn't want more guitars? I will have this until I die.
