Let me start by saying that im an acoustic fingerpicking player and this was my first electric guitar. Its amazing, the tone is unbeatable. All the solid bodies ive played couldnt project sound more than a few inches, not the case with this guitar. I was shocked at just how resonant it was unplugged. You can hear it from across a room without having it plugged in. This may sound strange but i cant get over how good this guitar smells, its like a cross between marshmallows and vanilla bean.its not the easiest guitar to bend notes with, and im an acoustic player so my fingers are pretty strong, its actually close to how hard it would be on an acoustic. The finish is beautiful, almoat too beautiful, it makes me feel like im handling a porcelain doll or something although im certain its sturdy, the beauty of it makes me baby it. So for an everyday guitar or gig guitar i wouldnt recommend it. I need to get another guitar at this point so that i actually play it more. Thats probably just me though. Pros: unbeatable tone, beautiful finish, great smell Cons: heavier than expected and hard to bend notes

I have been playing in local bands for over 35 years and always wanted a Gibson but the never settle for less attitiude left me underfunded. I finally pulled the plug on a real great deal from the 2013 clearence sale on zzounds and had a couple months to evaluate the guitar.
