An amazing guitar! I can find absolutely no flaws in the fit and finish. The coil splitting is an interesting touch and the +15db boost in one tone pot really is true bypass. Whatever you've got going on is boosted and sent directly to the output, unfiltered. I have yet to master that function but it has a lot of promise!
Sound
This is my first burstbucker guitar and first with coil splittng in both the volume and tone pots. The effects are not necessarily subtle! More choices means more versatility in one instrument.
Features
The Min-Etune has proved to be very accurate and is a time saver, especially when you're not wanting to have an effect board or pedals inline. Keep the tuner's manual handy as you've got to follow simple yet detailed instructions, especially for the alternate tunings.
Ease of Use
There is definitely a learnng curve! While not a 50's neck, it does seem heftier than a 60's neck and the assymetrical neck profile is taking a little getting used to. It's all about muscle memory. If you can play guitar, your muscles will adjust to this neck, absolutely. The volume and tone pots have some resistence to them, so they won't easily be changed accidentally, but they are also sensitive to changes. Be careful rolling off the treble or the volume. A light touch is necessary. I still have some learning to do with respect to it's features, hence "only" 4 stars in the "ease of use" rating. I expect that will go up to a 5 in time.
Quality
I can find no cosmetic flaws or flaws in the workmanship. It was worth every penny I paid for it, and then some.
Value
I think this guitar is worth more than what I paid for it. Your mileage may vary.
Manufacturer Support
I hve dealt with Gibson in the past, but not about this guitar. I've always found them to be courteous and responsive.
The Wow Factor
The top to this guitar is just amazing. While that's just a cosmetic thing, and subjective, I think that down the road if I ever sell it, I'll get my money back on it and then some.

Musical Background:

20+ years, strictly electric guitar

Musical Style:

Rock of any kind, some bluesy stuff if I'm in the mood. Not schooled in it.

Could not be happier with the Gibson. I wasn't sure if I would care for the minetune, but it is so convenient and easy to use. The first time I played on the gibson, you could just feel the guitar is in a class that only gibson can provide. If you want the clapton, slash, or any other rock legend sound you won't be disappointed!

Musical Background:

Electric and acustic, mainly jam at home. 20 years.

Musical Style:

Mostly classic rock, metal, and on the acustic stuff like Dave Matthews, mumford and sons.
