Feature:
how much can i say about features on a les paul... pretty standard stuff.
Quality:
it felt better built than the studio that was several hundred bucks more. usa made and road worthy. for awhile i kinda worried about snapping the neck with the double cutaway but i got over it. it's a solid axe.
only prob was that the tip of the pickup switch fell off and disappeared the day i got it. but who cares.
Value:
i'm realistic. this guitar will get it's ass kicked by many another guitar. but it's a hell of a value in terms of quality to average cost. it's comparable to most gibsons in the $1500 range, and i got mine for like $550.
Desirability:
way sexy. it's the les paul you get when you're sick of everyone and their mother getting les pauls with the same damn humbuckers and tone. it's the gibson quality noone can deny with a sleek and kinda vintage-y uniqueness.
also in this category is the gibson bfg, but that one's a little farther out in left field with the killswitch and sandblasting.
Sound:
i wasn't really into the p90s until i picked this bad boy up. the tone is warm, but not too sludgy. purrs like a kitten.
Ease of Use:
i agonize over every detail when i shop for gear. after a few months of looking around, i had pretty much settled on this one les paul studio. but when i went to pick it up, i saw one of these right next to it and figured i'd give it a shot despite it being a few hundred bucks cheaper, which i expected to hear. but it sounded better than the studio, and felt so much more comfortable and natural, so i walked out with it.
Support:
support is a box of strings and a soldering iron for me.
Overall:
how can i not be satisfied at this price?
