For the first time in 45 years I feel like I'm playing a real Les Paul guitar. This thing is heavy, has a long tenon, growls and barks like a junk yard dog when played thru my Marshall. The Black finish with gold hardware makes this guitar look vintage and classy. I have all kinds of Les Pauls but none feel like this beautiful beast. With this custom in my arsenal of Les Pauls, I have no desire to pick up my standards, traditionals, studios, or classics because they don't measure up to this awesome custom. Sure, my back hurts after playing this thing for three hours standing up but Im also 60 years old. If you don't have an Ebony or White Custom Les Paul in your arsenal then do what you gotta do to get one of these. They really do play like butter.

I've had this bad boy for a couple of weeks now and to be completely honest this is by far one of the best sounding pauls I have ever played; right out of the box! I do not understand all the hate for the richlite board yes it is not ebony anymore but I still like it, it's super smooth and comfortable and is just as good as ebony. I see nothing wrong with the richlite. I get that people prefer the ebony but the richlite plays just as good imo. Slightly chunkier neck than my standard, it is not weight relieved so it has a few more pounds added but plays just great. It has a nice full, fat sound and every note rings out perfectly. Sure it was pricey, I don't think these things need to be as expensive as they are, but hey, better paying $3600 than $4000. The finish is stunning. Beautiful case. There is nothing I don't love about it. My dream has come true.
