I was intrigued by gibsons auto tuner and the intrinsic flexability when they first came out ,but they never seemed to work the way you would have hoped...Until now.If your a hardcore purist you should probably go with the non high performance model but all of the extra (enhancements) make for a wonderfully flexable les paul.I have been playing les pauls (mostly friends) since 1979 when i saw led zeppelin in greensboro n.C...This particular guitar combines nostalga with innovative modifications with graceful aplomb..No complaints whatsoever except that i was compelled to purchase a gold gibson les paul 100th anniversary case from stratosphere to protect my treasure...All in all i love it!!!

This is my first Gibson....& will not be my last !! Sounds FANTASTIC !!...looks good no fancy top or binding but that is ok with me. Love the G-FORCE tuning system the pickups are great. The neck feels good to me & no problem with the frets being sharp.

The Good : Features like the classic 57 pickups, aluminum tailpiece and bridge, and titanium saddles, make this a decent tone machine. Sounds great after much effort to set it up properly..... The Bad: The auto tuner is a novelty that is a little annoying and not very accurate. Gibson has outdated information on their website on how to operate it.The zero fret nut only accommodates 9 gauge strings. The slots are too narrow for anything larger. The chrome knobs and pickup rings are cheap feeling and looking. I despise the PCB electronics. You can't swap capacitors without throwing away the pots and starting over. The pickup selector switch is very stiff. The faded finish and faux binding are very unappealing. Wood that ugly should not be used on burst finishes, especially on a $1300 guitar. The highly polished frets claim is a stone cold lie! The frets were very rough, like sandpaper all over the neck when you bend strings. I almost returned it because of this but I didnt want the hassle nor did I want to ruin my good standing with zZounds by returning this junk... I've owned many guitars including several Gibson's over the years and I must say they better step up their game or brands like PRS will put them out of business. You can only survive on your name and legacy for so long before you have to prove you're worthy. Bottom line : You are much better off buying something like a PRS SE, ESP LTD, or even a Epiphone than this. It's a shame when your budget line puts out better products with more consistent quality than the product it is copying...
Sound
Sounds great! I will give credit where it's due
Features
The pickup's are great. Everything else is junk
Ease of Use
Gibson provides no information about how to string the guitar with the gforce tuners. Everything else is self explanatory
Quality
Worst fret job I have ever encountered. I can't believe Gibson uses "High polished frets" as a selling point.. Are you kidding me? They should be embarrassed
Value
Definitely overpriced for such a low quality guitar. Compared to similarly priced PRS, Fender, EVH, Ibanez, even lower priced Epiphone's this guitar is a horrible value
Manufacturer Support
Gibson provided no updated information on the gforce tuners. The provided information was for the previous model with different specs. In fact, Gibson didn't have any info at all on their 2017 line of guitars on their website long after products were available
The Wow Factor
Nothing good to say here. It's very cheap looking and bad QC
