This is my my 6th or 7th guitar and first Gibson. The Firebird HP is a step up from my electric 6 string. I hadn't paid attention to the G-fore tuners! Whoa... preset tunings that happen at the click of a button! Easy playing Soloist neck is gloss and just the right nut/neck for me. So far, I've done some practicing while using Guitar Rig 5 and Garageband on MAC through Komplete Audio 6. Amazing sustain. Awesome build quality. I don't gig or take this with me on trips, so gig bag helped me save. Setup from factory was great except for a buzzing 6th.

Musical Background:

Started learning guitar and music theory in 2004. When I'm not enjoying high end audio, I jam at home with acoustic and electric

Musical Style:

Rock is tops, but talented musicians can earn my respect in a heartbeat, no matter the style/genre. Most often I'll practice to

Gibson has a winner with this one .....excellent build quality with tone to match. Neck takes a bit of getting used to, but is really fast when you do...Sustain for days.... Not quite a classic humbucking sound, not a single coil sound....For me, just right. Never needed Gibson support, but couldn't leave it blank... Highly recommended, especially at its price point.

Musical Background:

Playing since 1965

Musical Style:

Now mostly blues oriented or jazz
