The V plays very nice, the body resonates well. I really like the feel of the neck. The pickups are great, they clean up well with the volume knob. It did need a quick setup out of the box, the action was really high. The gigbag is well padded, but I purchased an SKB case for it. If you like V's, this one fits the bill.

Ok it is the lower end of the American Gibson line. This guitar is the same as the higher end V's without all the bells and whistles and the hard case. Other than that, this is one awesome ax to play but it is not flashy or a piece of art to hang on your wall hoping for your favorite artist to sign. This is a players guitar and has great tone and sustain when paired with the right amp, I use a 100 watt Orange tube which really shows what this guitar can do. Quality and craftsmanship is there, it is just not fancy and shinny. I love this guitar because it is more about the sound and not the looks

If you want a guitar that not only looks cool but whose coolness actually adds to its practicality, this is for you. I needed a workhorse for under a grand and I got more than I expected. The pickups actually have push/pull capability which caught me totally by surprise as this was not mentioned anywhere in the specs or description. Paired with a Peavey 6505 I get screaming leads and the pickups clean up nice at a lower volume and low gain setting on my amp. Live or studio, this is my go to guy from now on. Thanks Gibson!

Love this guitar the minute I opened the box. Feels and sounds amazing! I never knew what I was missing as this is my first V. Get a good leather strap that doesn't slip since V's are like SG's and almost always neck heavy. I love my so much I had it nitro lacquered so it looks and feels amazing.
