Fostex PM0.4 Monitor Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
A better name for these speakers is, "desktop nearfield". They sound really good. I work with synths, samplers and VST instuments and for this purpose they are excellent. They need a little more lowbass, but if YOU want more, buy additional a Sub from Fostex. If you want something louder and better buy "Adam".
Value
For this price and what i'am hearing with, i think no other company can beat this price.

Fostex PM0.4 Monitor Customer Review

Well, they dont match more expensive monitors like Adams or Genelecs, but hey.... the price. :)
Sound
For the money (were talking premium-logitech desktop-speaker prices), there is NOTHING that beats these little babies. And Ive done major mixes and mastering on these and found them to be very nice addendeum to bigger speakers for near/desktop mixing/listening.
Features
High end is not as crispy, low end needs some more... but again, look at the price. They serve vocals very well not adding any warmth so the mixes turn out cold and dark.
Ease of Use
They are speakers, how hard can it be. Plug and play, power on and volume. Thats it.
Quality
For the price (i´ve got white ones) the finish is pretty damn amazing. Nothing has fallen off/started to rattle.
Value
Simply the best in this price range
