I have always used Fender Guitar Cables. I still have some old ones that I use. I purchased 2 x FEN CALCBL 10 LBP Fender 10 Foot Cable Lake Placid Blue from Zzounds. I used them for about 5 minutes and I LITERALLY wanted to throw then in the garbage. I have never been so disappointed by a piece of equipment. These cables completely sucked the sound out of my rig. Fender Amp. Fender Guitar. You think the Fender cable would fit like a glove right? WRONG! I have decided after this purchase that I will never buy another Fender cable again. I noticed the gauge on these is smaller than the older clear cables. I can translate that for you. From my perspective and comparing their new and old cables side by side they have sacrificed quality for price and the sound and tone went with it. These made my Fender Strat and Mustang III v2 sound completely toneless. Both cables.
