Feature:
Fishman under the bridge transducer. FLAME maple top back and sides.
Quality:
Mine has gold hardware, which wore off very quickly, despite wiping
it down after every use. It stays in tune very well, and everything else
about it is fine.
Value:
Not a bad price given the nicely flamed maple.
Desirability:
It's really pretty under the stage lights. This is somewhat superficial,
but I've received many comments from audience members, so it must make
some impact. If it didn't sound/play good, this wouldn't mean much.
Sound:
This is a GREAT guitar for live performances. Unplugged, it's ok, but nothing to write home about. But plugged in, under stage lights, it sounds great and the flame maple really stands out. The Fishman
system, due to it's huge popularity, is the sound we've all come to expect from live acoustic guitars and this guitar does it well.
If you're looking for a guitar to sit on the couch and plink on, you can probably find a better sounding acoustic for the money. Plugged in
it sounds as good as any Martin, Taylor or Takamine with an under the
saddle pickup system. (I think plywood and strings would sound good with the Fishman.)
Support:
No experience here. Never needed service.
Overall:
This is my stage acoustic and I have no plans to replace it. It also allows me to keep my D-45 at home in the case instead of in clubs getting beat up.
