As a beginner guitarist for the last 20+ years I believe the G-DEC with all of it's backing tracks and other features, my playing should improve considerably. I can safely say after only using it for about a month my playing has become easier listening for the other members of my household.

WOW! I have to admit, I was stunned, awesome sound overall between the modeling and patches and backing tracks!
Feature:
The SD card is HUGE! I as able to download all the different versions from metal to country to blues to the original as a back up and program them into the amp...I also was able to use the SD cards to load my own MP3 backing tracks to jam with! The ability to tweak all the presets and save my own is never ending awesomeness!
Ease of Use:
Very little learning curve to use this device which is perfect! less time with my nose in the manual and more time with my fingers on the strings!
Quality:
Very well constructed, solid to the core!

For what you get for the money hands down solid value!

An absolutely wonderful practice amp, also suitable for jamming and small gigs. A great value. I love it, and use it every day. You can find just about any sound you need with this little beauty. I highly recommend this for any level player. It's absolute FUN!!!

Overall:
I bought a blemished model for about $50 less than a new one. This was a great buy. The amp was delivered as scheduled and came with no blemishes that I could see. the G-Dec 3 is a great tool for me as I am just learning how to play. I recommend zZounds and the G-Dec amp to anyone (great product and a great company).

Sound:
I was not expecting to get the best tone out of this amp when I bought it for practice. But I am totally impressed with the rich tone I get out of this amp! It easily sounds as good as my Cyber Twin SE for clean Fender sounds (just won't go as loud as the bigger CT SE). Totally impressed and love this amp (all stock too). No need to be replacing the speaker as some folks do.
Feature:
For the price of this amp and the pure beautiful tone(s) it generates, it is one of the best buys in guitar amps in the world. The DSP feature set is much improved over the first generation modeling amps from Fender (including the older Cyber Twin SE amps). It has more convienent USB to computer PC interface (instead of MIDI) and software to control every aspect of the amps settings and sound. On top of all this, it has a flexible backing tracks player and also a Phrase looping recorder to help you practice. It is loaded with convienence features as a practice amp, but it is good enough to gig with too! Excellent value. It also has an SD memory card slot for you you store limitless presets and backing tracks and it is firmware updatable by the user.
Ease of Use:
For such a sophisticated full featured amp, it is easy to use and should take the average user no time to become familiar with the controls. The free FUSE software PC Interface is a pretty neat piece of work which helps you setup the amp configuration and sounds to your liking using a friendly graphical user interface that anyone can understand.
Quality:
Again for the price paid, this is a very well built amplifier. There is plastic used but the amp is sturdy and I cannot complain for the price and function and value you get with this amp.
Value:
Extremely good value. Can't be beat at this time.

There are GDEC-3-30 forums that have all the info you will want to know about these amps. Fender public relations rep is on the forums and takes requests and answers questions. There have been new software releases and firmware releases since I bought the amp all free for downloading and upgrading your amp when needed. This shows how commited Fender is supporting this new GDEC-3-30 amp.
The Wow Factor:
It's personal and subjective matter, but I think the amp looks pretty good. It's the technical features and the extremely remarkable good sound of this 30 watt solid state amp and speaker that surprises me.
Overall:
I am so pleased with this amp. It totally surprised and impressed me when I got it and heard how good it sounded. It is not a tinny bright cheap sounding amp! It puts out some serious good tone equal to all the other Fender amps. I just returned a big Cyber Twin SE amp after trying it out and hearing no real big improvement in tone other than the Cyber Twin SE can play way louder and make your ears bleed (and deaf!). I figured this GDEC-3-30 at one third the cost of the CT SE amp was good enough for my needs... so back went the big Cyber Twin SE amp with its older DSP engine. I recommend this amp highly for the best practice amp or small venue gigging amp! It can generate beautiful tone for sure.
