This precious machine got here just two hours ago, and already I'm in love. While some of my OM guitars have a tendency to sound "tinny" over regular PA systems, adding a little bit of coloration from this amp makes them sound a hundred times better. The sheer amount of available options makes me glad that I picked this Fender amp over every other acoustic amp choice (and there were some impressive choices, as you know if you're reading this). After playing around with all the acoustic tools, the ability to add an electric guitar and play it LOUD and perfect makes this a delicious amp. The fact that Fender seems to have added the electric option as a mere afterthought makes this amp veritably perfect. Fender clean with the tiniest touch of modeling equals absolute perfection. Pick this one: you won't regret it.

To all those busy musicians needing something versatile and lightweight, and capable of doin it's job, look no further. This amp was a speculation buy for me, but I had it's predecessor the Acoustasonic Jr. And that was awesome as well, just weighed a ton more and less features. It takes some trial and error to get it to perform what and how you like, but a great amp, all around. I have a few Fender amps, the big, tube monsters, and this amp sounds just as job despite being solid state. The presets are fantastic. Buy this amp.

I purchased this amp at the end of summer (2012) thinking I would probably only use it for acoustic-electrics. I had purchased an Epiphone DR500MCE with stereo output from two different pickups. When I plugged it into this amp I was very impressed. Now I have 2 Les Paul's that I plug into it as well and it sounds great. I've used it on "pure amp" with effects pedals plugged in and it's suprising how good it sounds. The FX on it are also very nice even for electric guitar. I was playing through a small practice amp so this is a nice jump up. It is certaily loud enough. I only have to turn it up a 1/4 of the way and it's plenty loud in my home. I can just imagine if you could turn it up louder. I tried this amp out at a local guitar shop, comparing it to some other acoustic guitar amps and for the money the others couldn't compare. I've heard some say it's lacking when playing an electric through it, however, I don't hold to that thinking. I find this amp can do all I want and more. The only drawback I find with this amp is the footswitch that is an option to purchase. I wish it gave you more control over the amp but thats minor and the reason for only 4 stars.

Musical Background:

30+ yrs of playing guitar. Acoustic-electric, Les Paul electrics. Jam at home.

"Acoustic modeling at its best."

This amp works like a modeling amp for acoustic/electric instruments...or anything else you care to plug into it. I really don't see anything on an average guitar electronics that this amp can't overshadow. I doesn't have a built in tuner but the room and amp modeling and the FX settings make guitar onboard mike modeling, FX and EQ mostly useless. The two sides of the amp are nice for instrument and vocals at the same time. It certainly is loud enough and the tweeter makes the acoustic experience pretty real. I've used this with Gibson J-165, J-185 and Martin G-something or other-1 guitars and the experience was shocking to say the least. Loud and real. I've been plugging my archtop into a small transistor amp but I think I will try this one next.

I did not buy this from zZounds. My local brick and mortar music store was having a going out of business sale, I wanted to support them so I went down. I bought a couple things (a Fender Pro Junior III, strings and strap), to encourage them to stay in business. One of the things I tried was the Acoustasonic 150 with a new Gretsch Streamliner series 2420 (nice guitar). I liked the amp and when I got home I checked the price on zZounds. It was out of production. I should have picked it up (it was 20% off that day only). I loved playing the Pro Junior and kept thinking about the Acoustasonic 150. Couple weeks later I paid full price for the amp. As they say, it is a great piece of kit. It sounds good with acoustic and electric (It sounds like a Fender) and I can see that this will reduce the amount of gear I carry and give me some flexibility in playing different gigs. with the mic input and 150 watts, I can do a solo gig with a mic and a couple guitars. Would like to test it out in a live situation, though, first chance I get. This might be easier than lugging the Bose L1 around for a solo gig. Yeah I can be a tube snob but one amp to replace two amps (electric and acoustic and maybe I can leave the PA at home) for a one or two set solo gig feels like a winner. It sounds like a Fender. I'm trying to see if the guitar and amp emulations will allow me to take fewer instruments. The amp emulations are really serviceable. Reverb, delay, chorus are usable. I have not tried the effects loop yet and haven/t even tried channel two yet, the feedback control works good in my sound room. This is as much fun as putting different guitars and running my pedals through the Pro Junior. This Fender put the fun back in playing.

I've been using Fender since my high school garage band...I recently bought a Fender acoustic and thought I'd try the Fender Acoustasonic amp. I went with the 150, and let me tell you, its awesome! Pros: Very powerful, but no feedback experienced! Not too heavy. Great all around sound, from soft warm sounds to full auditorium power. FX effects are superb! Love the tan look, in a class of its own! Love it! Cons: No headphones jack.

THIS AMP IS GOOD 4 THE ACOUSTIC GUITARS AS WELL AS ELECTRICS. I USED IT WITH NY ARCH TOP PALOMINO W FLOATING P/U FROM DEAN AND WOW. I GOT IT 4 THE FACT IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT AND BACK SAVER. IT IS ALSO A GOOD GIGGING AMP 4 THE $$$. THIS THING IS A GOOD P/A AS WELL IN CLUBS OR COFFEE HOUSES 4 SOLO OR DUO GIGS IF U HAVE A FRIEND USING THIS OR THE 90 WATT VERSION. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO ADD SPRING REVERB IN THE REVERB SECTION BUT OVER ALL IT IS CLEAN UNLESS U USE THE BRITISH IN THE ELECTRIC GUITAR SETTINGS. THIS IS A FANTASTIC AMP (I SAY AGAIN) 4 THE $$$.

"Disapointed in this fender amp"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars

I wanted a lightweight amp for long totes, so already having a fender acoustasonic SFX (best sounding amp i've ever heard) and a fender acoustasonic Jr. (2nd. best sounding) I figured the 150 would be the ticket. WRONG, I can adjust the amp and my Blueridge Br70CE any way I possibly can and can't get rid of the mid sound. The volume control on channel #1 only acts as a tone control and only has little control over volume. Supposedly having 75 watts per channel, it's not apparent, because the acoustasonic Jr., at 40 watts, will blow it away. I tried several different effects with and still had overly abundant mid. I "really"don't like it! I can't believe Fender would sell this thing. I guess I'll tote a heavier amp.

I have been playing guitar for 45 yrs. and play several other instruments.

"STILL GETTING USED TO IT"

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars

This amp is loaded with many features. Truthfully, too many for my taste. But I am also a simple person. Based on many reviews, this is a highly sought after amp. However, at this point, when compared to my Strawberry Blonde acoustic amp, it does not even come close. IMO the Strawberry Blonde has a more full and higher quality sound/tone. With that said, I did not buy it to use as my main amp. I purchased it to play my acoustic guitar in my workshop on lazy days. I am sure that once I figure out the controls I will grow to like it. A small amp in stature that does not weigh very much and looks nice in a simple way. I have never been a big fan of Fender products. But I bit the bullet on this one and gave it a shot. Time will tell.

I have been playing guitar and piano my entire life. Taylor, Epiphone Swingster, Gibson ES-335, Martin acoustic
