Feature:
the most useful features are the jazzy neck and the small prescion body along with its vitage pickups otherwise you just cant go worg with a fender i do wish you could swith between the pickups .

Sound:
it sounds amaazing you should only buy it if i was into jazz and blues and if you have some cash

THE PICKUPS ARE GOOD, IF NOT A LITTLE OUT OF ADJUSTMENT WHEN BOUGHT...BUT THE STRINGS ARE THE WORST! TOO MANY "BRASS-Y" OVERTONES AND SERIOUS SQUEAL AND POP PROBLEMS WITH ANY GOOD AMP. AND WHY OH WHY DO BASS MANUFACTURERS INSIST ON PUTTING THE JACK FOR THE CORD ON THE TOP OF THE GUARD? IT WOULD BE A LOT NICER IF IT WAS IN A POCKET (ALA GIBSON) OR ON THE EDGE OF THE BODY.

This bass guitar not only looks good, it plays good. You can use it for a wide variety of music and a wide variety of styles. From rock to jazz and from slapping to plucking. It sounds great no matter what amp you own, but personally I used my Ampeg ampwith it and it sounded superb. If you are looking for a great value on a bass guitar, look no further, this is the bass for you.

I had an opportunity to play the Fender Deluxe P-Bass Special at a jam session. I currently own a Standard P-Bass and two J-Basses, one with active electronics and one with passive electronics. This one was a pleasant surprise to play. I was able to shape the tone using a GK-800RB head through a 4x10 Peavey cabinet with EV Force speakers. Wow, what a sound. This bass is a real sleeper.
