Feature:
The maple neck makes for great movement around the fretboard, and even the strings it came with stock sounded awesome...I had them on for months before I switched.

Quality:
I would tour to the ends of the earth with this guitar, I have 100% faith in it.

Value:
So worth it.

Desirability:
The guitar is cosmetically and mechanically beautiful.

Sound:
The sound is incredible; nothing can beat the "Fender clean" sound.

Ease of Use:
For best sound, take guitar, plug guitar cable into amplifier, turn on, play.

Support:
Have not had to deal with them yet.

Quality:
Meh..

Value:
You could get a better guitar for 400.

Desirability:
Not at all, it looks retarded.

Sound:
Way too twangy, its not a versatile guitar, all single coils sound like crap. Its not even good enough for blues.

Ease of Use:
Its a guitar...

Overall:
This guitar should not exist, not even beginners should be exposed to this.

Feature:
It only came with a nice gig bag, which I replaced with a nice Gator hardshell case, but still for only $400, I feel like I still owe Fender more money for this guitar. The springs for the tremolo were only three, so I added the extra two and it works perfect for me. I don't do dives with the whammy, so it stays in tune for a very long time.

Quality:
There's just no difference to me that it was made in Mexico. These are American Fender parts and with a nice alder body and maple neck/maple neck, I could not be happier. I'm not at all worried about anything breaking on me, and I'd take it on the road without hesitation. It's solid!

Value:
Like I said, for $400, it's a supreme deal and I would have paid more for something with this quality.

Desirability:
It's black and it came with a white pickguard, white knobs, and white pickup covers. All the white parts have been replaced with black and it's a sexy black beast now. I adore it's looks!

Sound:
My style is mostly blues and Pink Floydish rock. Sometimes I like to mess around with heavy metal, but I use my Les Paul for that. The pickups are amazing for stock and I really have no desire at all to replace them. They can be a bit noisy with a lot of gain, but for middle-of-the-road distortion, you can't beat this. The clean sound I get is pretty close to my Highway One Stratocaster with vintage Jeff Beck Noiseless pickups. I'm not kidding!

Ease of Use:
I get all sounds I desire from this guitar. The neck is very easy to be fast with and it fits very well. The contours of a stratocaster just mold to a person's body anyway, and this thing fits like a glove. It comes with a real nice owners manual that covers a lot of maintenance and repair, but it should go to a luthier with anything major.

Support:
Never had to deal with support.

Overall:
I'll play this for a long time, maybe the rest of my life. I can't imagine ever having a need or want to replace it. Thank you Fender!!!! If it were lost or stolen, I'd cry like a little girl and then do everything in my power to replace every single piece of it. If I had $400 more to spare, I might go all out on an American standard, but there's only a slight difference.

Feature:
Comes with a gig bag, whammey bar. Stratocaster standard controls. Again, this is not an American Series Strat, so things like the nut, tuners, pups, pot are not going to be up to the same as the American. All of the controls and switches work well and I do have to say that the shielding on the pick guard and cavities actually make this thing pretty quiet around lights and other electrical stuff, actually more than my American Standard Strat

Quality:
I honestly could not find any flaws on this guitar, from the fit and finish to the way it plays. I did a simple truss rod adjustment and that was all. The action is right on the money and all the controls and switches work well. I take very good care of all my guitars and I'm picky when it comes to finish flaws, controls etc. etc. I dont play in a band or gig, but this guitar, if taken care of would not have any problem playing live with the right combination of amps or effects. If taken care of, almost any guitar or instrument will last a lifetime. This guitar is well worth the money! Play a few of them before you buy. I would put the quality right up there with my American Standard Stratocaster and my Schecter Gryphon and pretty darn close to my Gibson SG Standard. These are great value for the money guitars. If your just starting out, dont waste your money on a Squire Strat. For a couple of hundred more, you will get a great guitar that will keep you playing!

Value:
If your looking for a quality Strat guitar, I dont think you can beat the price anywhere. Sure you can buy Shecters, Epiphones, Ibanez guitars within this price range, and they are all good quality, but this is a Strat with single coil pups and that is what we are talking about here. Decide what type of music you want to play and then try a bunch of different brands to see what fits your style. I personally think that the Standard Stratocaster is an outstanding value for the price, but try one for yourself and decide.

Desirability:
I got the Electron Blue with the Maple fretboard. As stated above, this is a very good guitar and will work for anyone. Thousands of these "Mexican Strats" have been sold and are played by many. A perfect guitar if you want to modify or change items. The design works and has been around forever.

Sound:
I own an American Standard series Stratocaster, and I can definately tell the difference in the pups between the two. The pick-ups sound fine, typical Strat single coil, but the output is not as good as the American Strats. These pups are fine for almost any situation. They will do the job. The overall sound is quite good and all but a professional would probably not need to upgrade the pups unless you would want to.

Ease of Use:
This guitar sounds very good. The c shaped fretboard and medium jumbo frets make playing this guitar pretty easy. It has the "Strat sound that most of us like. A few friends of mine own "Clapton" Strats and after playing this guitar commented that other than the pups, this guitar played pretty much the same and had almost the same feel as the higher end Strats. There are hundreds, if not thousands of "Mexican Strat" players using these guitars live and for recording so that says a lot for these guitars. I really enjoy this guitar and I cant really say anything negative thus far.

Support:
Never had a problem with Fender when I asked a question or needed some information.

Overall:
I plan on keeping this guitar for a long time. It fits in good with the other guitars I have. If lost or stolen, I would go down and buy another, In fact I plan on getting another one in a different color. If you buy this guitar, get a set-up done to your liking or if a beginner, let the tech do a set up and you will have a good playing and good sounding guitar.

Feature:
i like the five way switch, but it doesnt realy do much with the all single coil pickups...the pickups on this are seriously weak...if you get this guitar, you should probly replace the pickups...they suck

Quality:
while this product should be made well, they are mass produced and alot of lemons are put out, but if you happen to get a good one, its a good guitar, very durable, been dropped, thrown, banged into things, hit by things, anything you can think of, and it still plays like the day i bought it...3 years ago as of 11/26/03(got it as an early b-day preasent)

Value:
this is worth the money i guess, but there are plenty of other guitars of equal or greater quality for the same price, i recomend looking around before you buy this guitar, its good, but you might find something better suted for you

Desirability:
this guitar is sooo customizable(one of the few great things about it) it comes in mapel fretboard, rosewood, comes in ALOT of diff colors...

Sound:
the sound is alright...but dont like the all single coil pickups, before you buy this guitar...inspect it, they're mass produced and not realy factory inspected as much as they should be...so you could wind up with a lemon...

Ease of Use:
this guitar is easy to modify but the stock pickups suck, but other than that, this guitar is worth buying for the price...but idk how much it costs, i got an additional 100 dollar discount on mine...nice thin neck, but like all(if not all, then most) strats, it has a bolt on neck, which can be anoying when you're trying to play past the 14th fret, but its easy to repair the neck :)

Support:
havnt had to deal with fender

Overall:
i used this product for 1 year happily before realy noticiting its flaws, but most of the flaws were from me getting a lemon...after a while, you will deffinately be looking for something better

Feature:
Just a whammy bar....i think they come with cases now but mine didnt because i've had it for 2 years now...but if they come with cases i would give this a 9 (not a 10 simply because it's not quite the real deal) (a.k.a american strat =) )

Quality:
great! no blemishes and even 2 years later it still looks and sounds like it's brand new

Value:
WOW $400?!?! AMAZING! GET THIS GUITAR IF YOU'RE ON A BUDGET OR A DECENT GUITARIST LOOKING FOR HIS SECOND GUITAR!!!!

Desirability:
i love how it loks except for the decal on the headstock is different from an american strat so you can tell it's mexican right away so thats kind of degrading but nonetheless, it dstil plays just as good as an american

Sound:
The guitar sounds great but the 1 thing that i dont like is the pickups buzz....thats about the only flaw with this guitar and easily fixable if u wanna pitch in 100 bucks more for noiseless pickups...but if u were going to do that then i would definately get a deluxe players strat

Ease of Use:
easy as possible...a three year old could do this

Support:
i changed my string gauge and i went to the fender website to learn how....very easy to find an instruction manual (free might i add because its over the internet)

Overall:
if youre looking for a budget guitar, your search is over. dont listen to the guys who dis this guitar. they know not of what they speak

regular single coil pickups, one volume, two tone knobs. Maple neck.

Quality:
cheap plastic pickguard, cheap pickups neck into body sucks, the headstock isnt bent at all so the strings go out of tune.

Value:
overpriced piece of junk. Go for a Gibson sg faded. They have a nice finish, great quality and it will keep its value.

Desirability:
UGLY!!!!

Sound:
pickups buzz

Ease of Use:
the maple eck is horrible

havnt delt with them yet.

Not a great guitar. Not much time is put into these guitars. Get a Gibson.

Tis guitar seems likt it will last forever. It has great quality for a 400 dollar guitar.

Value:
Definately worth it if you're on a tight budget.

Sound:
For the price that this guitar comes at, the sound is awesome. I don't even own a big wig amp and it still sounds great. Nice and clean when the volume is at 5 but once you get it up to 7 and higher it gets a great sounding light distortion that i love.

Ease of Use:
Plug and play.

Overall:
Very versitale. Blues, rock, jazz, it's all here.

Whammy bar adds great dimension to your music and Fender tuners hold well against the movement. I'd suggest getting Fender/Schaller locking tuners though!

Very nice quality. This is a Mexican made guitar, so it's quality is not going to be as good as the American, but it is nice

Value:
Great for the price (Though i got mine for $250)

Desirability:
Looks like a typical strat. Mine, however, is a purple satin finish, so mine is pretty sexy.

Sound:
Nice Warm sound. Good for everything, but not great for anything. The pickups are middle of the road, so they do not sound great clean or heavy.

Ease of Use:
Fairly Easy to use. I've been playing for three years, and my first two guitars were an Epiphone Les Paul Special and a Silvertone Strat, so this is a step up. The nut is a little high, but it is pretty good despite that
