This guitar has amazing sounding pickups. Clean to fully distorted. Chords and and leads sound great. Cuts through the mix great (sound guy loves it). Never tried a scalloped fret board before. Now I wish all my guitars were scalloped. 1st position chording is great. I have big fat fingers and it’s the easiest thing to play a F chord. Within a few minutes, I was getting used to the fretboard. Don’t worry about going sharp with the notes as others talk about. You have to be pressing pretty hard in my opinion. By the way, the other reviewer that didn’t like the pickups obviously has the older version which has different pickups. His review is from 2008.

"Takes A Little To Unleash The Beast - It's a Kepper!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Was skeptical abut buying this Signature Series - never played it and scallop fret board. The first 5 minutes of playing, I was going to sell this guitar and now it's a keeper - give it a chance.
Sound
Didn't like the Low output pick-ups coming through me Blues JR Tweed clean and with Tubescreamer on. I decided to give this a better test drive and plug into a solid state amp with a hard blues sound - almost distortion and after 5-minutes the beast came out of this guitar. So if you're playing through a Marshall or heavy sounding amp with a bit more than overdrive, it's nice, but if your looking to play clean to slightly over driven sound and play more chords then leads, this is not for you - buy the Eric Johnson, etc.
Features
It's a Strat except this has only a 3-way switch, which is OK for me.
Ease of Use
Need a little tweaking via amp for this guitar IMO - didn't like the sound playing clean hthrough a tube amp.
Quality
Fender has always been good to me.
Value
I got it at a great price - I can't say - so it was a great value to me to take a chance with a guitar I never played - bought online - scary.
Manufacturer Support
I have, not with this guitar and again Fender has been very good to me, but I hear so many people say differently.
The Wow Factor
I love the Antique White - Yellowish look personally.
