Sound
Hey! These cases SOUND GREAT! Especially when the latches easily open or close on the first try! :-)
Features
Nice. Simple. Effective. Not much else one needs: except this: I REALLY wish the "pockets" had little doors on them. Most of the time, stuff is OK in there. But there are times that small items such as picks and trem arms (I like to throw everything I need for multiple instruments in one place when I'm playing out.) end up scattered in the case after a bit of jogging around.
Ease of Use
Like I said. The latches work great the very first time. The weight is easy on the arms (comparatively). The lid doesn't crash down on you or your bass if it's a micro-millimeter from being fully open.
Quality
I own several of these for both basses and guitars. All of them are awesome. Very consistent quality. The new-case smell is good, without being noxious.
Value
The price is lower than the G&G-made case. It's sturdier, too. (I'll still use my G&G Fender cases around the house or in the closet...)
Manufacturer Support
Didn't need support with this case.

"Fender molded Jazz Bass Case"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

This case was purchased to store my Fender Standard Jazz Bass. I purchased an SKB case for my first Jazz Bass about 12 years ago and have been extremely happy with it so since this one was made for Fender by SKB, I wasn't too concerned about purchasing it without being able to look at it first. One thing that really impressed me about zZounds, is the care they exercise in shipping merchandise to their customers. It was sent double-boxed (the factory sealed Fender box inside a separate well-packed shipping box) and arrived without incident. The case itself has a molded plastic exteriior with the black plush interior. My bass fits snugly and there's plenty of room for accessories. The carry handle is a heavier duty design than my older SKB case and there are also molded feet on the bottom and indents on the top if you wish to stack more than one.I did have a slight problem with the first one I received as one of the latches was a bit difficult to open and close, but zZounds was first rate in sending me an immediate replacement as well as a free return shipping label.I'll definitely continue to give them my business in the future.

THERE IS NOT A BETTER CASE FOR YOUR FENDER BASS! I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY OTHER FOR MY PRECISION BASS! Having said that, there are things that irk me. Other reviews mention the good things. They're true, but here's the rest of the story. The thing is bulky. There is no traditional accessory compartment, but rather an accessory "well" with NO hatch, so your loose picks flop around. As large as this case is, you, LITERALLY, can't fit a single pedal in there. Yes, you can fit your essentials like strap, cord, picks, and maybe a couple tools, but be sure to put your picks in an Altoids can and tools in a pouch. Last thing that bugs me, it's a "universal" case for Jazz or Precision, which means it's contoured for the larger J body, and can "fit" a P body. As many "cons" that I mentioned, I will gladly take them all for how GREAT THIS CASE IS FOR MY BASS! If at all possible, go to your local Fender dealer & ask to physically see the case to judge for yourself, AND THEN ORDER IT FROM ZZOUNDS! GREAT SERVICE, PRICE, & SHIPPING.
Ease of Use
Exterior protection is awesome. Interior protection is great. BUT, it takes some skills to keep your accessories organized in there.
Quality
I own several SKB cases without any problems. Best cases ever.
Value
Well worth the price. Don't buy cheap cases -- get this one!

The Wow Factor
My other SKB cases are pretty sweet looking, especially with those beefy TSA latches, but having "Fender" molded on this case is a nice touch!
