Over thirty years ago I fell in love w a National steel guitar with an Hawaiian motif. Worked two jobs to get it - but never seemed to be able to save enough (newly married- money used for silly stuff like food and shelter) Now in our autumn years, my wife bought this for me as a Christmas gift. Single resonator with a biscuit, it comes with the strings set for guitar action. I raised them to play as a dobro. Instrument has a deep rich and clear sound. It holds tuning amazingly well. I really like it!

I purchased this after returning another brands wood bodied resonator that had poor quality issues. Fit and finish is good, wish the Hawaiian etching was a little darker but it is still nice. Neck is nice and fret work is good, intonation was spot on. Sounds and plays nice out of the box, some folks might want to trade out the cone for a National cone but it sounds good as is. Heavy body, best to sit with while playing! Not a blemish or mark on the guitar, Fender did good with this guitar. It's not a high end Resonator but the quality is there and it's a keeper in my book.

Musical Background:

40+ years on guitar. Non-professional player.

Whatever floats my boat at the time...
