"ALL IN ONE MIXER/SPEAKER/AMP SOLUTION, THE ORIGINAL AND STILL THE BEST IDEA."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I have two 250s and two 150s and am buying a fifth today.
Sound
I've used these Fenders for the better part of 10 years, using them for all kinds of parties including weddings, sock hops, birthday parties and small school proms. Don't expect much bass out of the small four inch speakers, but other than that it's a good solid rig, easy to set up and loud enough to be told to turn it down please.
Features
Sure the reverb isn't what you'd call stellar, but from a unit this size you get more than you pay for. Channel one has a mic dipping function that is user adjustable, which dips the music or other playback when the announcer / dj talks on the microphone. With two stereo inputs and selecatble mic/line switches, this baby is really cool to work with.
Ease of Use
Anyone with a modicum of amp/mixer/speaker experience will be amazed at the versatility and easy use of this package. I also have the PD 150 and it's as useful as it's big brother, with 75 watts per side vs 125. Speaking of, I rarely run these at more than 50% master and channel input, they are loud enough for everything except your bigger crowds of more than 100. Just crank them up on a 7 foot stand and start the party.
Quality
Quality is good. I've just seen the limited white edition and was surprised....if you are a working dj these are gonna get placed in the back of the pick up and over time the gray cabs get marks, scuffs and scratches. White I'm afraid would make all that stand out. I prefer the gray and wish it came in black, red or purple. Just joking, but hey, think about it.
Value
Like I said, if you need a good all around speaker, performer or dj package, this is great. In fact, I'm on this site today to purchase another for a dj who tried mine and wants same.
Manufacturer Support
One thing you've got to be careful of though...don't drop them. I now lay mine on their sides during transport in the back of my dodge. They will fall over. Sometimes that will cause internal damage. Replacement cost at a local repair shop is stupid money. The unit cost me 600 new. The power supply and shop labor to fix it? 600.00. They tell me these are built outside the usa and by the time the part arrives, the shop doubles their money then adds labor, it's cheaper to buy a new one. Don't know about factory, but I do need to find my receipt and try to get one fixed from the factory and hope the price is cheaper.
The Wow Factor
These look awesome up on stands.

"Great for acoustic practice - Not for band practice."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I love this thing! But I play only for hobby now. When I played in a band, I brought it to one practice, and never again. It would not keep up. Although, my guitar player had PRO PRO PRO gear (Line 6 everything, although I don't even know what that means) and I could not be heard through this thing. But for practice by myself, couldn't be more satisfied.
Sound
I am going to rate everything on this product a 10, but that is because I use it alone in my apartment with an acoustic guitar, keyboard, and mic. I use an additional digital effects processor and EQ peddle. It sounds awesome. HOWEVER, I have taken it to a practice with an old band and you could not hear this thing over anything. Great for practice!!! But don't buy it for a band. If you plan to play "unplugged" and acoustic, this is what you need!
Features
It sounds good in my apartment. 100% satisfied for praticing, but good luck using it with a band.
Quality
Sounds great for practice! If you are going to play "unplugged" and acoustic, this is what you want!
Value
I bought it 3 years ago for $650, and it still costs that much to buy one! Obviously keeping it's value.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it.
The Wow Factor
It looks good because it's so small and folds up into a suitcase. People will definately ask you about it when they see it.

"Don't go anywhere without your Passport!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If you are looking for a versatile, portable, and durable sound system, this is THE ONE! If this one were stolen, I would buy a new one the next day. My ONLY complaint is the clear cover. It ripped at the seams because it fit so tightly shortly after we bought the unit.
Sound
The sound is impeccable. We use this system for ministry indoors and outdoors to show movies, conduct seminars, and even offer concerts. It works great in every setting. One friend who is a renowned classic guitarist says it is one of the best systems he has ever performed with.
Features
The included accessories were sufficient. We have added two mikes, one wireless mike, speaker stands, and mike stands. We also have the DC converter.
Value
How can Fender offer this quality product for this price? Great!
Manufacturer Support
Don't have experience in this area.
The Wow Factor
Great performing and great looking.

"Sufficient for solo guitar and vocals"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Bought it in the late 1990's new. Used it for talent show in middle school in the school gym. Worked perfectly for solo guitar and vocal acts, announcing etc. Also used it outside Barnes and Noble back in the day for solo guitar and vocals. Used it recently for birthday party in rec room of a condo for jokes, music and live performances. We are talking 25 years of use. Unit is still in new condition. It's not a band PA by any means but for its purpose it has always performed well. Manufacturer Support not used.

"Best buy I've made for the little money that I have."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Want mo'! Speakers k, but get some nice 12/15's when the occasion requires it. (Dance parties, music for vocalists)
Sound
Sound quality with the supplied speakers is functional. GREAT for an outdoor picnic where for a small group of less than 100 where EQ is not critical. But for a dance, I recommend quality 12/15in. speakers that sound good with the passport. I've used some nice Yamahas, and just recently, JBL TR125's and they sounded great. I've used it for a mixing board in my living room, dj parties, and a PA for meetings. LOVE IT!
Features
Compact, fits in the car, EASY, and great for quick set up and tear down. As already stated, reverb is comical, but EQ is do-able. I have loved this things since I first opened the box, 3 years ago. I want a couple more!
Quality
Looks cheasy, but looks are deceiving.
Value
GREAT bang for the buck! Couldn't have afforded all the features that the Passport offers vs. conventional PA systems that you have to piece together.
Manufacturer Support
Plug and play. Haven't need to contact support
The Wow Factor
People are impressed when they see you set up and tear down with the Passport. You can have supertech take "forever" to set up and all night to haul the gear out of the room, and the event can still sound terrible.

"Use the force"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I have a friend with a rock band(inclusive, he records with his Passport)after that it was a while before i got mines little by little.I dont think It's ever going to wear out, contrary to my jokes,I do take good care of it,it was a painstaking invesment, all worth it.And actually I'm going to find more things for it,like the battery pack, lol, haah.
Sound
Hey,Bose say's it all,the sound that goes into the mike is what comes out of those 12 speakers, only it comes out real loud if you want.Music from my MD player,guitars,keyboards,2 to 3 people with mikes, cause I also have the 1270p fender powered monitor and we make a ruckus.
Features
Other than speaker stands and mike stands, this thing comes with everything,I mean out'the box you're ready to go! 2 mikes with lines(they sound great)the power tower with all kinds of goodies for sound FX,2 lines for the speakers,it even comes with a plastic cover.(later I bought the cushioned nylon cover)
Quality
Well you could use a screwdriver, the other day for the first time I heard something wrong (it was loud)I took a look under the speaker cab,a screw was about to fall off, from around the hole where the stand goes in,...the force??Well anyways, screwed it back good as new.
Value
Its worth its weight in gold, sorry if you didnt get it when it was cheaper.
Manufacturer Support
It has'nt given me any grief in going on 4 years,on the contrary I,ve given it grief,I mean even under rain people, not that it,s made for that.
The Wow Factor
Man let me tell you I thank God for my family,my wellbeing and my salvation(look for yours its up there)but I thank God that in good ol'USA we have the opportunity to get our hands on tech wonders such as these.

"Just not my can of beer."

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Look, this thing may work well for many of you, but I shoulda never listened to the "matchmaker," who musta got an extra commission. lol. Will be relacing it in the next few weeks. Looking at mid-priced Mackies and Yamahas.
Sound
Works far better as a practice amp with my pod plugged into it. Just doesn't compare to other brand PAs, tho.
Features
The EQ is just loopy, and the reverb...I regret getting talked into buying this, but the sales lady was cute.
Ease of Use
Don't need the manual, but even so, it's a crapshoot.
Quality
Well, it is a Fender, and I'm a Fender kinda guy (Strat and Jazz, 1980 Concert amp, etc.), but on the other hand, they must have let interns design this thing.
Value
I suppose it was a decent value for the loot, and it did work pretty well for the joint that I bought it for, but I really wish that I would have used the $$ for a down payment on something a little more serious.
The Wow Factor
This thing has about as much sex appeal as a tennis racket. If I have to say "it's a PA" one more time! lol
