I've been looking for a semi-hollow body bass for a while. I tried Gretsch, Gibson and Epiphone and wasn't very happy with any of them. I ordered the Coronado to see if it would do the job. After a thorough setup and a new set of flat wound strings, this has turned out to be the one I was looking for. Great tone, easy to play and it's beautiful.
I have two complaints, one is that when you're wearing it the whole instrument sort of cants forward. I have to use my forearm to hold it straight. The other is if you're holding it on you lap it sits weird because of the jumbo body. Nothing to do about that I suppose.
I really do love this bass. I plan on having it for a long time.
