Fender Mustang 90 Electric Guitar

Modified from the original design, this Mustang sports a pair of killer MP-90 pickups. These single-coils offer a fat midrange that screams when overdriven.

I wanted something different than the strat style guitars I love. This guitar is my first with p-90 pups and they are fantastic. The volume and tone controls give a lot of usable range to shape the tone. With the shorter scale, string through body/hardtail bridge and the light weight it really resonates. Add in the p90's and it just sustains forever. I wish I had this guitar 10 years ago. It did need a truss rod adjustment out of the box, otherwise it was well setup. Usual excellent Fender MIM fit and finish. I added some DR 11-50, gave it a setup and it just sings!

Musical Background:

I am a lifelong hobbyist musician with a guitar always nearby

Musical Style:

I love the blues, classic rock of the 60's and 70's, jazz and three chord rock and roll.
