I bought this guitar one year ago and I love it more and more all the time. I got the Shore Line gold and it looks so different in person. Very striking. The soft V neck will spoil you. Nothing else feels good to me now. The pick ups are classic sounding strat sounds. It has a vintage sound and that is what i wanted. Great for everything except real heavy stuff. Well made and miles ahead of the standard mim strats. If you like blues, classic rock, Clapton type tones you will be happy. Also great for country. The locking tuners are a nice added feature.

Purchased the sunburst model and am very pleased with the look, feel, and sound of this guitar. The neck rivals the American models in feel and playability and the American Vintage pickups make this model all the more special at this price point. If you're keen on Fender vintage Stratocaster tone and don't have the budget for the USA models this is the guitar you've been looking for.

"The best Jazz/Blues guitar ever"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

This baby comes with 10 GA strings (not fond on too many factory guitars). If you like the best thick warm sound an electric can bring; this is it. If you like screamers, this guitar is not for you. Very solid and has the same type of bridge as fenders Americans. No buzz at all; this is the most buzz free guitar I have ever had.

I've had my Classic Player 50's for a little over a month now, I gotta say... I am absolutely in love with it! The mix of classic style with a modern feel and playability are killer! Not to mention, a pickup combo that totally nails the classic strat tones to perfection! If I had Fenders Custom Shop build one to my exact specs, I honestly don't think it would have been almost exactly this guitar, with the only exceptions being, rolled fretboard edges and a satin finish on the back of the neck...but that's it..strictly a personal preference thing. In no way do either of those things take away from what an amazing value and awesome guitar this really is! I did my homework on all the different strat models Fender had to offer for some time. Surprisingly enough, the CP50's checked all of the boxes for what I would call the perfect strat! If you are searching for the the strat that epitomizes what a strat is supposed to be...look no further because this is it!

This guitar sounds great for a Mexican made guitar! I've played other Mexican strats and the quality of the hardware was poor! This guitar on the other hand feels great to play! There is a big difference in the feel and sound of this guitar compared to my other mim. This guitar feels lighter ... The soft v neck feels really smooth and easier to play and comfortable. I love the vintage American hardware ...the locking tuners are nice upgrade, the pickups are as expected from any strat that has single coils with some buzz, but definitely less buzz than my other mim. No buzz on position 2 and 4 and switching position feel really smooth unlike my other mim that would pop and made undesirable sound when switching. The only thing I'm a little disappointed is the single ply pick guard! I was like "why would you do that with all the other nice features?" Hopefully I will upgrade that feature, but over all ..this is excellent guitar at an affordable price .. Closes you'll get to an American strat without having to pay for an American made price! I'm completely satisfied!

This guitar plays like a dream put wound third g string it likes it. The third magnet on all three pickups are raised so it does not sound weak like other Stratocaster. The only thing that I don’t care for is the vintage locking tuners. They are a pain to use but after getting use to them they might be ok.nice chirp form pickups and no really hum from pickups. I play using a 65 deluxe reverb ri .

"Best Value You Can Find for a Strat"

The Classic Player's 50s Strat is the absolute best deal out there for a great playing and better looking Stratocaster. After a week of playing it alongside my '57 AVRI and American Standard, I can confidently say that it is the best gear purchase I have ever made. With a few tweaks, it is certainly my preferred player, and even those tweaks were minor. I added two tremolo springs and lightly sanded the gloss from the back of the neck. The setup was fantastic out of the box (even after shipping through sub-zero temps in January), and only minor intonation adjustment were necessary after changing to my preferred strings. This Strat easily nails classic RnR tones from 1954-1969, as well as the typical blues and indie tones that scream "Fender Single Coils!"
