Fender Mark Hoppus Electric Bass (with Gig Bag)

Uniquely modified pickups offer unusually responsive sound across lows, mids and highs, this bass is modeled after the pop/punk bass used by blink-182.

if you want an awesome sound for a lower price than an american then this bass is for you. I owned the original and it's been my primary bass for a while but this has replaced it. I cannot say enough good things about this thing. For me, it's perfect.
Sound
The reverse pickups really make the difference. The tone on this thing is really punchy and can cut through. I am currently using a Gallien Kruger 1x15 with a 600 back line head with a tech 21 sans amp. My setup sounds the closest to a warm tube sound that I can get. Not too much twang with plenty of low end makes all the difference. People complain that there is no tone knob but again, that reverse pickup really changes that.
Quality
For being made in Mexico, it looks as close to an American as you can get. My biggest gripe with the original Hoppus bass was the skunk line on the back. It was annoying and honestly, made it look a little cheap. The paint job is very sexy on this. The transparent white looks almost yellow at some angles and at first I didn't care for the tortoise shell pick guard but it's grown on me and really makes the bass look super classy.
Manufacturer Support
All I own is Fender and that won't change anytime soon. Their new stuff has really impressed me as of late.

I plan on using this bass for a long time. A definite go to for recording and live performance.
Sound
If you play punk music, or rock or even funk, this bass is perfect. I play this thru an ampeg svt3-Pro and an ampeg 810, and it captures Mark Hoppus' tone from every blink record. Let a well studied bass player play it, he started playing some funk and it was fat and full, also very responsive to slapping. Anything outside these genres it might not suit them well.
Features
Came with a gig bag, which is good for now but I plan on getting a hard case. But a gig bag is pretty universal so I'm not gonna complain!
Ease of Use
Plug and play rock tone. Its a very simple, working bass.
Quality
No cosmetic issues at all. Neck is straight as an arrow and the frets are laid in nice, don't jut out the sides of the neck like some MIM basses.
Value
Definitely worth the money. Wouldn't pay more, but its definitely worth buying new rather than buying an older used model.
The Wow Factor
Bought the white blonde and it is gorgeous. Everyone usually goes for the surf green, Daphne blue, or pink versions, but the white is a classy look and doesn't scream for attention.
