I reluctantly ordered this cabinet just because I wanted it for the matching 5150iii head. I already own a standard marshall 1960a cab with 75 celestions and a mesa oversized recto cab loaded with v30s. Also have a Marshall JVM 410 head. I didn't think the 4 20watt greenbacks would really handle two powerful heads and have no where near the punch and depth of a oversized recto cab. Wow! I was wrong. I can easily say that this cab brings out the best of both heads compared to my other cabs. As much bass as the recto even though this is a standard size cab. Really tames the harsh and fizzy sounds that these high gain amps can put out. Just flat out great rock and even thick metal sound. Recommend this cab with any head (so long as its not greater than 100w). Eddy did the tone chasing homework for us here. Cab is solid and made in Mexico. Which doesn't matter. It outways the oversized recto, its a beast. The EVH special blackback Celestions are UK made and not from their Asian factories. Again, probably doesn't matter, but just a point of fact. Also, do to the low wattage handling, you cannot run this cab in stereo. Its not set up to do that. Don't know of anyone who runs their cabs in stereo anyway.. tried it once and it was not good. Anyway if you have any doubts about this one, put them aside. You'll be pleasantly suprised.

I didn't really thnik I needed this box, because I have to Marshall cabs loaded with Celestion G12H Heritages. But somehow they have never really wowed me, to my disappointment. I just chalked it up to my so-so guitar playing and moved on. But after buying this cabinet I was immediately impressed. The tone I've always wanted was there. And lots of bottom end. For the first time IN MY LIFE, I do not have to dime the bass and resonance controls on my amp, even at low volume. There's plenty of wump down low. That's the whole point of living with 4x12 cabinets, to me! The first time I played through this box, I immediately smiled at myself as I realized I had found a sound I loved. The right balance of crunchy, chewy midrange, just enough top-end bite, and good, chugging bottom end. The cone breakup was perfect - the tone comes out sweet and compressed and it was actually the first time I really had fun playing in a long time. I'll pay $999 for that. Going to order another as soon as this one's paid off. Because, you know, have a full stack or go home, right? Haha.I couldn't really rate the "Manufacturer Support" Because I haven't needed any yet. But the thing is heavier than my Marshalls and seems built to last.

Was playing through a 2X12 Orange can then got the matching cab for EVH 5150 III 100W head. All the difference in the world!!! Was thinking I'd have to get my amp nodded for better clean channel, well it's there now! Crystal clear!!! I use numerous guitars/tunings through it! Handles everything well! It is made in Mexico yes but i see no sacrifice in build/quality. Comes with caster wheels!!! Very heavy too!!! Built like a tank!!!No complaints!!! Love it!!! Love zZound's payment plans!

I have a Marshall DSL 100 head and wanted the very best stack that I could find. After doing hours upon hours of countless youtube comparisons I decided that theses were for me. First off these are beautiful!. I got one of each! The tone from these are amazing and are great for every style. I play metal and with the right eq on the amp you can acheive just about anything. Spot on for old rock to any hard rock with little to no adjustment. Great bass response. I love them and I havent even broke them in yet.

Paired this with the EVH 50 watt head, but now I am having a hard time sleeping at night since I have finally found the tone I have been looking for for 30 years. At 50% volume this cabinet is thumping without any break up. 50% on the EVH amp is stadium capable trust me. This rig puts my Marshall DSL in the dust bin of history $3000 wasted. Buy this cabinet and the EVH head or stay in the stone age, its that good.

This speaker cabinet is spot on, especially if you play hard rock/ heavy metal. I do have to say the low end and high-mids on this cabinet, are almost eerie in similarity to that familiar tone of the 70's we all know. I would say the only minor annoyance some might have is the position of the cabinet jack, as it is near the bottom on the back. The speakers in this thing are tone machines I'm still working them to a more solid break in, otherwise they sound great.

was torn for a while between the 212 and the 412, glad i chose the 412. have the 5150iii 50w and this cab just warms it up completing the tone the head oozes. I have absolutely no regrets. is it heavy? yes. is that the only negative i have about it? yes. but i would be kinda disappointed if it weren't heavy. sturdy as heck! worth every penny.

"Great product"

The speaker is Celestion Heritage Greenback. I've done my homework. It is same identical speaker. It's not a time machine Cab, due to it's deep build. But think of it as a modified tone time machine. Classic tones are a must have if you play quality guitar. A lot of pros aren't able to tell you what speakers they play through, nor care. Speakers matter. It is the final product of your tone. Bad speakers are like driving with bad tires. Same principal. Good tires will let you feel the road better, but you still get to the same destination. I wish it had a both 4 and 16 Ohm jack. I really, really do. But that's OK. Running 16 Ohms means that, God forbid, a speaker cable falls loose, you're still running at 16 Ohms. Too bad this Cab is associated with Peavey of old. Not the same thing.

zZounds and I go way back. Ok, just so you know. 4 Orange PPC 2x12, Orange PPC 4x12, Marshall 1960AX, Marshall SJ 4x12 slant. So...eVh 5150 III 4x12 cab smokes them all. I liked the first one so much, I got right back on the horn and ordered a second one. Driven by my eVh 5150 III 50w head, the pair just sounds incredible and MASSIVE. My chase for tone is over. You owe it to yourself to check these out. Made in England Celestion Heritage G12Ms. Bloody Fantastic!!!

One of the best without a doubt and I am so happy that I own it. If your serious about your craft and your sound get it!! Invest in yourself trust me it is well worth every single penny.

I read the reviews and bought one of these cabs. The freq. response is almost identical to the vintage 30 and these are only rated at 20 watts. Had I read the specs I would not have bought one cause the vintage 30 in the fender cab is higher in power rating though the cab is better on the evh as far as the coating. This is not a deal and I would caution anyone to look at the specs rather than personal opinion . You are paying for a NAME. Compare the specs. I feel stupid.
