Feature:
They can get loud and still sound good. Nice tight bass. I think an 8" low frequency driver is a necessity for most top 40 type music (rock, rap, pop, country, etc). Lacks compensation switches, but I think this can be a benefit. If you set compensation switches improperly, you will end up with poor mixes.

Quality:
Solid build quality. Nice finish, looks like and is pro gear. Drivers same as those used in the more costly Event Model 20/20.

Value:
There are many choices for monitors in this price range. The features, price and sound represent a much better than average value!

Desirability:
I learned the hard way that if you are mixing music without studio monitors, you are going to have a difficult time getting a good mix. I never believed it was necessary to spend so much money for such small speakers, BUT I WAS WRONG. These are great investment and make it much, much easier to mix.

Sound:
These sound wonderful. Music that I have mixed on them sounds great on a variety of other speakers and systems.

Overall:
I don't expect to replace these for many, many years. I decided to purchase a product that was from a reputable company and had the features I felt were important (8" LF driver, ample power, respected sound) so that I wouldn't have to upgrade in a few years. These monitors exceed my needs and expectations.

Feature:

Desirability:
They look great, and they sound better than any monitor I can think of for the price.

Sound:
Not as good as an HR824 (my main pair as well) but I can't think of anything in the same price range that sounds anywhere near as good as these do. I have a very clear idea of what is going on in a mix listening to these monitors. I have no problems doing good mixes on them whatsoever.

Support:

Feature:
No accessories, not needed.

Quality:
Product very well made.

Value:
Maybe.

Sound:
I'm running the monitors off of my Roland RDGX 700. The monitors move alot of air when your playing alot of left hand but the sound falls apart as youlay on thick continous chords. I believe the amps are underpowered for the cones. Units need more head room to handle loud loads like from the Roland

Ease of Use:
Not easy. I have to back off on my Roland to get clean sound even at that the monitors lack.

Support:
Excellanr support

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us.
Feature:
Features were fine. I prefer front-mounted vent ports, which these had.

Quality:
Seemed well-made. Just sounded bad.

Value:
If the sound sucks, they have no value. I haven't tried a whole lot of monitors, but I'd steer clear of these and keep looking if I were you.

Desirability:
Good sex appeal. Bad sound.

Sound:
I bought this thinking I would have a second "voice" to A/B against my mackie 824's during final mixdowns, just as a sanity check. Oh my god. It was obvious immediately that the Events were dull, robbed of any tonal quality, missing frequencies, etc. They obviously weren't showing me everything in my mixes, unlike the mackies. I also A/B'd them against my old Tannoy Reveal 6" passive monitors. The Tannoys lacked bass compared to the mackies, but other than that, the Tannoys and the Mackies were similar. Both sounded infinitely better, truer, with more detail and life, than these Event monitors. It's pretty sad. They seemed like a good deal for the money, but I think any home stereo would make a better monitoring system, frankly.

Ease of Use:
Couldn't have been easier to use. No settings whatsoever. Plug and go.

Support:
didn't have to deal with them.
