Feature:
They can get loud and still sound good. Nice tight bass. I think an 8" low frequency driver is a necessity for most top 40 type music (rock, rap, pop, country, etc).
Lacks compensation switches, but I think this can be a benefit. If you set compensation switches improperly, you will end up with poor mixes.
Quality:
Solid build quality. Nice finish, looks like and is pro gear. Drivers same as those used in the more costly Event Model 20/20.
Value:
There are many choices for monitors in this price range. The features, price and sound represent a much better than average value!
Desirability:
I learned the hard way that if you are mixing music without studio monitors, you are going to have a difficult time getting a good mix. I never believed it was necessary to spend so much money for such small speakers, BUT I WAS WRONG. These are great investment and make it much, much easier to mix.
Sound:
These sound wonderful. Music that I have mixed on them sounds great on a variety of other speakers and systems.
Overall:
I don't expect to replace these for many, many years. I decided to purchase a product that was from a reputable company and had the features I felt were important (8" LF driver, ample power, respected sound) so that I wouldn't have to upgrade in a few years. These monitors exceed my needs and expectations.
