I'm more happy with this guitar than any of my 9 others and it's not even the one I paid the most for!
Sound
It sounds AMAZING! When Slash (Guns 'N' Roses) designs pickups, he knows how to make them sound incredible. Makes for a great sound that fits any genre from blues to metal to punk to indie to jazz and anything in between!
Features
The Bigsby is what won me over! I was gonna get the EC-401, but when I saw the semi-hollow design and that Bigsby, I dropped my jaw and I have yet to pick it up! The individual volume & tone knobs for each pickup make it great to get a variety of sounds. It also makes for a great killswitch. Just turn one pickup all the way down and VOILA! My only qualm is that I wish the pickups selector was above the neck pickup somewhere. It would be easier to quickly switch pickups mid song/solo
Ease of Use
The action is great! It could probably be the slightest bit better but that can be easily adjusted. The Bigsby is easy to use, but it does go out of tune more often when you use it. That isn't a problem for me because my gretsch 5120 is the same way. Just know that using any tremolo causes tuning quirks, but it's easy to deal with.
Quality
The finish is B-E-A-Utiful and it can be depended on, but ALWAYS (No matter what) keep a backup if you ever play live because ANYTHING can happen. My Epiphone Dot Studio was stepped on in it's gig bag and it wasn't near any crowds or other equipment and the headstock snapped. I got it fixed, but it will never quite play the same again. That incident forever remains a mystery...
Value
YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS QUALITY TO PRICE RATIO! If you are thinking about getting this, STOP and get it!
Manufacturer Support
I'd give it a 10 because I have yet to need support. That's the best support in my book...
The Wow Factor
Best looking guitar I've seen in a long time! "Sex Appeal" - 12/10 if I could go that high!
