Overall: The Epiphone 62 Sheraton Reissue is simply a work of art. Lets start off with the superb build quality, which is outstanding. This finish is beautiful (Vintage Sunburst) and the binding and inlay work are beautiful and elegantly done. The Gibson Mini New York pickups sound amazing and are really warm but have a nice bright sparkle to them. Run them both together and they produce a nice woody tone, and roll off the tone a bit and its a buttery tone that draws you in so much you get lost. Not kidding. The body feels great and the neck feels very smooth and inviting. One of the best necks I have felt on a new guitar. ( Over the years I have owned over thirty guitars, ranging from Squiers, and Ibanez, to Gibson's and PRS's) This guitar really shines not only with sound and build quality but in its overall vibe, the classic hardware and feel it just exudes this ultra hip vibe, like its little "ghost in the machine" is with it and ready to take you for a ride! Only issue with the guitar I have is that on mine the frets could have been dressed a bit better but it is nothing major. In fact on the overall scope its very minute. Finally the lil extras you get were a nice add on to complete this package; the case is great and looks really nice and vintage, and the cool card and COA pack were very professionally and tastefully done. Great guitar, you will not be disappointed.

Overall: Alright, I have been a hollow body and semi-hollow body fanatic since I first picked up a guitar twenty one years ago. I have always wanted a Sheraton, in fact, it was what I had all picked out when I got my first guitar but alas, we could not afford it at the time and I ended up with a great Japanese 83 Telecaster. I still play Tele's a lot but the longing for a Sheraton never left me. It transformed over time into longing for a Gibson ES-335 and I was all set to just buy one of those. Epiphone made a Riviera, another great guitar that they keep fooling around with and I wish they would just keep in their lineup, and I was dying to get a Nick Valensi Riviera but sadly I missed the boat on that one. When this guitar hit the shelves I determined I would not let the opportunity pass me up and I am glad that I did not. After playing this instrument, I am not so sure I even need to pick up a 335 anymore. You can say what you want about the build quality of the Chinese Epiphones and I have seen good and bad myself, but this guitar is top notch. The neck, though listed as a 60s neck, is actually a touch thicker and because of that, it is a very comfortable neck to play for long periods of time. The setup was pretty close to perfect out of the box and everything works great. This guitar is a complete tone monster and will handle any music that I could ever want to play. Mine is finished in Cherry and it just pops. It is a beautiful finish to look at. I saw only one minor bleed over of the finish into the binding at the lower corner of the headstock but other than that, everything was A+. I own three Gibsons and many other guitars and these are on par with anything else that I own. The mini-humbuckers are amazing. I never liked them before but I am sold on them with this guitar. Well worth every single penny and they are only making 1962 of them so if you don't get one, be ready to cough up some serious dough on the secondary market on the auction sites. Additionally, I absolutely love the headstock shape on this guitar. It sets the whole thing off and I love it compared to the shape of the headstock on the Sheraton II, which is a great guitar in it's own right. You cannot go wrong with this guitar. Get one before they are all gone!

Overall: Quite like like the idea of a more accurate version of the original, love the mini hum's!-mine has some fret issues, not awful but i was hoping for a bit better ... biggest concern i have is that(after a month of owning it,and attempting to tighten without success) the 'non rotating' output jack has loosened up and rotated right into the body where i can't get at it...i will be sending to a warranty repair center, hopefully i can be playing it again soon.

Sound: The sound is 50's/60's vintage, great for John Lee Hooker/Bobby Rush or any other style blues sounds and great for rock too. I only wish it had Switchcraft switch and jack for reliability and the Mallory 150 tone caps like the Les Paul Tribute has. If you can't afford a G***** 335 then heres your chance. Feature: The best features are the Gibson mini humbuckers,C.T.S. pots, semi hollow maple body and mahogany set neck make great sustain and cut through the mix. You also get a period correct case! Ease of Use: Very easy to get the sounds you want. It seems like the C.T.S. pots are close tolerance because the tone controls have a wide range. This guitar plays like a dream. Quality: This guitar will out last me. I have found no flaws in my insturment. Value: This is a sleeper, It's the best semi-hollow body guitar out there at this price point. A great value for a nice guitar with case, and it is limited edition! Manufacturer Support: I own several Epiphone guitars and a Epiphone bass guitar and have never needed support. The Wow Factor: beautiful guitar, nice case ,great price, Only 1,962 made. If you are a John Lee Hooker fan as I am and missed the JLH Sheraton, here is your chance to get another quality limited edition guitar that bears the Epiphone name and gives you that great vintage vibe from times past. If not this is still a killer blues and rock monster! Overall: My guitar arrived from ZZounds about 3 weeks ago and I quickly fell in love with it. The finish and gold hardware is beautful, nice smooth neck, a little chunkier than a 60's slim taper, but not quite a 50's chunky neck. The Gibson T.O.M. bridge is a nice touch. Gibson mini humbuckers sound like a nice cross between P-90 grit and humbucker smooth, along with C.T.S. pots make a very vintage sound.

Sound: This guitar sounds every bit as good as any Gibson I have ever played. It responds well to volume and pick attack changes. Very dynamic. Feature: Love the frequensator and pickups. Grover tuners are nice. Beautiful grain to the maple top. Nice mahogany neck with some nice figuring. Ease of Use: Playing guitar is NOT easy. You get out of it what you put in with practice and musical study. Quality: Initial quality is excellent. Time will tell how durable it will be. Value: Well worth the extra 200 in comparison with the Sheraton 2. I tried quite a few Sheraton 2 at local music stores. This is a better instrument. It comes with a case ($79) so it is really only an extra 120 for the better quality electronics and tailpiece. Manufacturer Support: Not needed,,,yet,,, The Wow Factor: It makes me want to be Larry Carlton. I can't stop playing steely Dan songs on this thing Overall: When I opened the case, I was shocked at how beautiful the guitar is. The fit and finish are excellent. It plays surprisingly well straight out of the box. Initially the frets felt a little rough on bends but I guess that is to be expected from a guitar fresh out of the box. After a bit of playing the frets felt smooth. The electronics sound great. The mini humbuckers are a hit for me. This thing sounds great with no effects on it, however, when you add some overdrive this thing really shines. Great sustain with a full rich sound only attainable with a semi hollow design. The ONLY complaint, and it is a minor one, is that the output jack became loose after a bit of playing. Very minor but noteworthy. I think epiphone hit a home run here, this thing is SWEET.

Overall: I got the vintage sunburst and it is flawless. The bound neck feels nice and smooth and plays nicely and the Gibson mini humbuckers sound great. This guitar has C.T.S. pots too. You can get from smooth woman tone to a growling bite from this guitar. This also comes with a c.o.a. and a grey with blue inside period correct case. Overall you will not be disapointed. I have several Epiphones and they stand the test of time.
