Found 2 Genesis guitars on another site and finding the specific cases was what pushed the deal through - Throughly pleased with cases, shipping, brief contact w/ customer service and zzounds.com. Matter of fact, considering buying 2 more Genesis rigs in the colors I didn't buy there first time and must have the correct cases to go with them. Thanks!

Just having a great time with this guitar. Already have the Vintage Sunburst and Black Cherry and intend on getting the Midnight Sapphire if it becomes available again at this same price. I tune it in drop-D and play through a VOX L'il NightTrain amp - get a nice range of tones. Setup out of the box for all three has been fine. Swapped out the strings [experimenting with different gauges now, trying to find the best all-around - leaning to the 11-50's but want to try some heavier] and life is good! Zzounds has been great and is my new home for gear. On the horizon, besides the MB Genesis [and vintage case, of course] is a Fender SuperChamp x2 amp. Thanks guys for helping my rediscover a long-lost passion for playing.

This case was made for this guitar. A gig bag never entered my mind. It does a great job in protecting my new found friend. And, to top it off, zZounds shipped my guitar in the case...added shipping protection?. The price was equal to anything I found on the Internet.......highly recommend.

Musical Background:

Started in late 1963......played in a small band and got paid.

"Epiphone Genesis reissue case"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Have 3 of the 4 Epiphone Genesis Deluxe PROs and have bought the reissue cases from zZounds. If the Midnight Sapphire comes back around I'll buy it and case from zZounds, of course. The fit is snug and supportive, compartment inside for extra strings, well-balanced. Genesis nameplate is cool detail. Great buy!

I ordered a blemished case. The Genesis nameplate on the case had a little ding. No problem, it was worth the reduced cost. I'm happy with it. It's a good resting place for my beautiful midnight sapphire "Gennie".

It's ok. It's definitely better than no case, at all. It may even be better than a gig bag. I bought it to fit my '79 Genesis, and it fit's "ok". A little tight on the sides of the body. The build quality seems a bit lacking, though. The lining looks to be pulling away from the inside of the case, and the "hinge" on the lid to the accessory tray, inside, is pretty sloppy. For $50, I would be giving this 5 stars. For $100? I don't think so. Other big chains don't carry this product. Now I know why.

This hardshell is a dedicated one for this model. As it should be expected the guitar fits in it nicey. The exterior of the case is made out of a rugged material and well finished with an ID plate for the Genesis model. However the interior was not well finished, the orange-yellow lining was wrinkled at some points because it was not glued. In other spots the glue was over the lining. I think that paying about a hundred dollars for it may be considered too much when the guitar is about three hundred. The guitar deserves it though.

Epiphone case for the Genesis is fine. If you have an Epiphone Les Paul case or one for a ES335 you know the quality. It's fine for the money.
