You get what you pay for, these are not cheap
Desirability:
I have two pairs of these matched with two pairs of SXA 360's - Simply superb + EV SX300 monitors
Sound:
No wooliness these speakers give clean, clear punchy bass. they make Mackie and yorkvilles sound cheap
Ease of Use:
Simple to set up with other active or non-active speakers
Support:
Never had a failure but EV's web site is very useful
Overall:
I would need to find something that probably does not exist yet for a portable system but RCF's top line might tempt me or maybe Nexo
