Overall: Help, I needed somthing small, Light In Weight, and Bassy, to do smaller gig's and DJ work , Weddings of 2 to 150 or so, Well I had a set of EV sb-2 and EV ZX1 90s , and liked the way they sounded, So to add more bass I got these SB2A, It worked out well. Did a Gig with my church in a gade school gym and we were all amazed at how well it filled the room with sound and clean bass, did a DJ job the next night and again people were asking where it was comming from, Hip hop and funk,R&B, Blues, Maybe not the loudest,but with these speakers added it's so nice and clean that you hear things you do not hear with other systems, and it all fits with lights and all in my Chevy HHR. Overall: I only used this speaker a few times, and it definitely added a nice chunk of bottom end to my sound. I have some jbl's powered by a mackie powered mixer for the bulk of the pa, and with the sb2a on the bottom I can roll a little bass off of the jbl's which helps clear them up with less work load so I can increase their volume a bit. I have been playing professionally for many years and I always look for the smallest set-up possible. This speaker sounds bigger than it's weight and is definitely worth the extra trip from vehicle to stage. Don't know about ruggedness and product support cause I just got it....time will tell. More than happy so far.
