The SM58 is the industry standard 'live' mic. My opinion is the EV267 has better low-end and is cleaner all around. I would not hesitate to take it into the studio (for vocals or acoustic instruments).

The design causes some mic cords and wireless adapters to not fully connect. Sound quality is great. Blows SM-58 away.
