I bought this to use for a little bit of recording and live playing. I recommend this for recording but playing live w/ it is a totally different story. I play mostly hard rock type of music and i uses this EHX compressor playing live or even at rehearsals. It's a bit untamable using it live,the volume seems to fluctuate giving me feedback when it's on.This EHX compressor and B3K distortion pedal are married during recording but when paired live in my opinion is like a devorce couple battling in custody on who gets what..I just can't seem to get the right balnce of sounds that pleases my ears. I would love to try the BBE son stomp just to hear ,try and maybe it will be to my liking. Remember good for recording not for playing live. My opinion is my own i'm not saying that you'll have a similar experience as i had w/ this product. Overall good product quality but it's not for me.

The Wow Factor
I'll give it 2.5 out of 5 bec I wasn't really impressed by it. It'll just boost your volume on live performance. I can't really tell the compression effects when using it live. Recording w/ it is awesome it will prevent you from clipping.
