i think i have finally ended my tone quest with this piece..best of the rest that i tried out.....PRS, Blackstar, Peavey 3120, beats 'em all for the price point. if lost or stolen, i would definitely replace it with another! most like; the tone and features for tweaking...least like; no reverb.
Sound
wowza.....bruce and the team at egnater REALLY nailed it with this amp!! i have used it on 2 gigs so far, and i can't make it sound bad! the kt88's are smokin hot, and the tweaker switches make ANY tone a possibility! pristine clean to screaming heavy, this thing does it all.....and it gets those GREAT in between SRV-types of tones too, without the mushy bottom end! the dual channel boost function really does make this a quasi 4 channel amp...my strat and prs have never sounded better......superb note articulation, and tons of headroom and gain. plus, it's rather small and compact....sits perfectly on most 1x12 cabs for a great small venue setup....and atop a 4x12 it just rips! clarity, tone, and amazing response to playing dynamics and volume control manipulation.....a great little package from the team at egnater.....well done guys....i HIGHLY recommend checking out the tweaker 88....you WILL NOT be disappointed.....and by the way, TRY getting this great of a tone at this price point from other amps.....good luck! if you don't have 2k to drop on an orange or a boogie, the tweaker 88 is the way to go. versatility and tone to the max. i love mine!!! and no, you can;t have it!! :-))
Features
footswitch included for channel select, fx loop, and the separate 2 channel boosts...only one drawback; no reverb....but the fx loop is superb for time-based or modulation fx. top notch construction, excellent wiring, neat chassis inside and out. kt 88 power tubes and ax 7's for the pre's...GREAT combo.
Ease of Use
slight learning curve, and take the time to explore all the options that the tweaker switches provide...believe me, it's well worth the experimentation.......if you can't get yer tone on with this amp, you can't get it period!
Quality
so far so good....seems rugged enough to handle the road....just don't toss it around like a sack of taters! great fit and finish, and way cool retro-style cosmetics
Value
seems VERY well priced compared to amps in the same league....but ya get ALOT for the money with this amp
Manufacturer Support
no probs so far...and the one question i did have fore eganter regarding this amp was answered immediately by the tech staff
The Wow Factor
as stated above....nice looking amp head....nice fit and finish, nice color contrast with the black chassis and blonde tolex grille cover...and i love the "egnater" logo......makes other guitarists think u got a super pricey boutique piece! and it is not just practical in my setup....it's PARAMOUNT to my tone!

You know an amp is a great one when it causes thoughts of putting others up for sale. The Tweaker-88 covers so much ground it's made so many of my other amps redundant. Delicious tones for days!
Sound
There's hardly a sound that you can't get out of this thing. This is easily the most versatile, and most ear-pleasing (thanks to the KT-88 tubes) of the Tweaker series. SRV tones? Check. Eric Johnson tones? Check. AC/DC tones? Check. Zakk Wylde tones? Check. I would say (even though I'm only a novice when it comes to jazz) that most jazz aficionados would probably be very pleased with the amp's clean and large amount of headroom. The crunch tones are where this amp really shines though, whether it's a 70's rock vibe you're going for, or '80's classic metal, or modern-day prog. The KT-88s make the amp sound huge and bold, with lots of harmonic juiciness.
Features
Too many to list! The amp lives up to its name, and if you're a tweaker (no pun intended) you'll love seeing how many different sounds you can get out of this amp. If you're not, that's okay too, because you won't find a single bad sound while dialing in your own! There are many options for doing so, thanks to the various switches such as "deep", "bright", "modern", "vintage", "tight", "hot", etc...all of which can be applied to either channel. You can also make either channel a clean channel or dirty channel...it's not restricted to a standard rhythm/lead setup, despite the channels being labelled that way. And with the variable boost for each channel, you basically can set it up as a FOUR channel amp. The supplied footswitch allows you to change channels, turn on either channel's boost, or turn on/off the effects. The effects loop works nicely, but the only downside here is no reverb on the amp.
Ease of Use
Although the manual includes settings for several recognizable tones, there are many more to be found. However, thanks to a fairly simplistic layout for such a versatile amp, it isn't too difficult to dial in various sounds. Think you've almost nailed that metal tone, but it's too mid-rangy? Hit the "mid cut" switch for that scooped sound. Everything is pretty much that obvious, and simple to obtain.
Quality
The amp seems very sturdy, with a solid handle grip, and nice design. The retro vibe it gives off is very cool, yet distinct at the same time. The smallish size of the head is also great for sitting on a 2x12 if you don't use a full-size cab, and it also fits perfectly on top of my Marshall 1965 (4x10).
Value
One of the best bang-for-the-buck amps to come along in quite some time. Blows the doors off some amps costing 4 times as much.
Manufacturer Support
Have not had to deal with them, but have heard good things about their service and response times.
The Wow Factor
I currently own or have owned numerous Peavey (5), Carvin (2), Marshall (5), and Fender (4) amps, and have played many others (Mesa/Boogie, Orange, etc.). I like being able to get a large variety of sounds, whether I need to in my cover band, or because I'm seeking something different for a particular song I'm recording. This thing covers so much ground it's criminal. Because of it, I am going to be selling some amps soon. It's that good.
