I have this. I use it to connect the earphone jack on my laptop to local PA systems when I am doing a Powerpoint presentation. Without it, the hum is terrible. With it, there is usually NO hum at all and sometimes just a little tiny amount of hum. This is a great thing to own. I wish they had XLR connectors on it, though.
