I've used the DW MDD, iron cobra, speed cobra, dw5002 and trick big foot. With the spring attached to the cam it's super quick. But it also has a weight so you can actually feel it under your foot. I finally found the pedal for me!

I love these pedals. Very smooth. And some might not understand that you can adjust each pedal. I've actually made the left pedal quicker than the right on certain occasions. You can't just take it out of the box, play it, and judge it. Tweak it to your preference, then review it.

I'm a huge metal enthusiast. I don't ever play anything crazy (200bpm +) and these pedals are absolutely perfect. Right out of the box (only adjustment I made was slave pedal height and a little bit of tension) I knew that these pedals were the ones for me. I've been playing on a set of Mapex Falcons for the last 10+ years and recently decided to upgrade. I tried Pearl Demon Drives for about a month and actually ended up returning them because for $700, I wasn't in love with them. Exchanged those for the DW9000's and here we are. The pedals are super smooth, very well built, and easy to adjust. I would never even think twice about buying another pedal. These are absolutely amazing.
