Feature:
Get the power adapter. A $20 adapter will pay for itself when you consider how much it will cost you to constantly buy 9V batteries. This pedal will suck battery juice like nobody's business.

Quality:
The thing is constructed well. If an astronaut played guitar on the moon, this pedal would survive the conditions. When I bought this product, I was expecting something more light-weight and flimsy. It'll stay in place no matter how hard it's kicked.

Value:
I bought this for about 30 bux. Enough said.

Desirability:
Have it. Sex appeal? Well I don't want to sleep with it at all. Sound appeal? I could listen to it for quite some time without tiring of the sound.

Sound:
Wow. I've come across about 3 different sounds with this pedal, usually switching my pickups and my amp settings. When I kick my amp to the overdrive setting, and choose one of the middle pickups on my guitar, you can get a blusey-crunch sound, which seems to work well with solos. Kicking my amp to clean, and selecting my bridge pickups produces a huge distortion good for rhythm. The bass and volume controls on the pedal can really give you quite a bit of feedback, which is always a good thing (unless you blow a speaker, then it sux). This is probably one of my favorite pedals, and I find myself kicking it more than is necessary.

Support:
No attempts for support. Never needed.

Feature:
My pedal came with only a battery. Enough so that I didn't have to buy an adapter.

Quality:
My pedal has seen a lot of abuse and there are no paint scratches or markings. It continues to put out top notch tone.

Value:
It still doing great for the low price

Desirability:
Not much for the colour personally

Sound:
I love this pedal. I play punk and some grunge. the sound quality for the price paid is great. In my opinion its better than most other distortion pedals I have tried. I use a Tube amp to play from and the sound is great.

Support:
haven't needed any servicing

If you set up your pedals right, and you are tired of the processed sound of digital,This is a really good option. It takes some tweaking to find your sound, but then it is a breath of fresh air. I have quit using my Digitech RP since getting this pedal. with a good amp, and understanding of what you want from your sound you will be smitten.

Well, this was my first distortion pedal and it was a good deal. Definitely worth the price and it did the trick for several months when I was starting out, but I eventually found it too one-sided. It'll give you a GREAT grungy sound (go figure) similar to Nirvana's sound on their first album, "Bleach," but it really doesn't get you much else. Great feedback, lots of noise, but not very versatile. I'll still probably be using it in the future for noise solos/jams.

great for a huge blast following a build up! but there are only a couple of good settings(but they do sound great!)but by adding a flanger or an overdrive pedal to the sound-gives it that extra feel!

Quality:
This pedal is as solid as a rock. It's been kicked around, left out in the rain, and used as a tool (long story) and still works perfect.

Value:
This thing is always between $30 and $40 bucks which is a crazy good value. Everyone should have one.

Desirability:
The problem is it looks kinda fruity. It's purple with black spots and GRUNGE written across it but so what, spraypaint it and keep rockin.

Sound:
The sound is kinda wierd, but awesome. It sounds the same on every guitar (wierd) but it's still a good sound (awesome). You can get as much distortion as you want, or just a little. It has amazing treble and bass knobs that can make a wide array of sounds. With the distortion at max it has more feedback than you'll ever need.

Support:
Didn't ever deal with them.

Overall:
I will probably keep this pedal forever. If it gets broke or stolen there is NO question that i'll buy another one. One of my faves.

it could use some more features, like better sound capibilities, ya know, more sound options, but overall i think this pedal is pretty good, it gets VERY good feedback (which i like) and is a good choice if you like grungy kind of music, it juices up the power chords, and gets that bang into your music

but I'm not sure I like it much. The price is great, and I think DOD pedals are good. But the distortion is too focused in the mid range, and the varitey to not all that great. I like the DS-2 better so far, but I'll keep this pedal until I really tried everything on it. I had bad feed back problems at first, but it seemed to clear it's self (I sure tired everthing, to no avail) I would definately recomend you actually try this pedal before buying it.

Its not that bad, but sometimes it is so distorted that you can't really hear the actual chord...the note is fuzzed out. But I think that it makes a great palm mute. I just wish that it had more sound options!
