Feature:
The only knob that would make this better is a mid control. Other than that it's great overall and can take a beating.

Quality:
This thing seems bullet proof and I've been gigging steadily with it for over 2 yrs. now. My only complaint is it's a bit noisey but, hey I'm using single coils.

Value:
For 50 bucks I don't think there is a better distortion pedal out there. I'm probably going to buy another so I can have to two levels of gain...Steve Ray and Led Zeppelin and everything in between that you get with the picking responsiveness.

Desirability:
Like I said, I'm probably going to add another to my setup.

Sound:
I play this through a Fender Deluxe and a Boss EQ pedal, which definitely helps fatten up the sound. The first time i tried it I was blown away, especially since I have gone through numerous other distortions with bigger reputations. It works great live and what really impressed me was the sensititvity and response to lighter or heavier attack. I use an unmodified 57 reissue Strat and I can get distortions ranging from Stevie Ray to AC-DC.

Ease of Use:
It can't get easier.

Support:
Had no need for support.

Overall:
I'm surprised more people aren't using this but that's okay 'cause I'd rather sound better than them anyway.

Feature:
The knobs are all there except for one, the mid knob. You can still tweak the low and high knobs so that you get al mid tone, but I wish there just was a mid.

Quality:
There is no flaw what so-ever. The paintjob is realy nice two, sparkling blue!

Value:
I bought my Screamer combined with a original Dunlop Crybaby (recommendation!) and spent a total of €140,- (about $170,-), which is not a bad price!

Desirability:
The lay-out is magnificent, paintjob (as i said) really nice and the overall shape is not bad!

Sound:
The sound is pretty much what I've been searching for the last 6 years. Obviously, the Gain knob changes the screamin' of the overdrive. The sound of the gain fully opened is raw and, depending on the low and high settings, sharp or warm, and not the eardeafening grunt you get on, lets say the Digitech Death Metal.

Ease of Use:
This pedal is easy as in, even I know how it works!

Support:
I wouldn't know, for my pedal never let's me down!

Overall:
The only overdrive/destortion pedal I might consider in buying, apart from this one, is the Dunlop Fuzz-face. But that's just because of it's amazing apeal to me as a Hendrix fan. (Buy this one!)

Feature:
i wish it had a mid knob

Quality:
I just bought it yesterday so as far as I know the quality is good

Value:
best blues overdrive for the money

Sound:
it's a awsome pedal with lots of gain to go around. I use it with my ibanez rg320fm, and my marshall vs232 in the effects loop. the only thing that would make this pedal better is if you could have 2 presets 1 for lead and 1 for rythum. the only other thing that I can think of is that I wish it had a mid knob. this is because I like to have a mid boost with my distortion with out having to turn my knobs on my clean channel. most all the songs I write are very deep. the ibanez rg320fm is kept tuned half a step down dropped D

Ease of Use:
its very simple. plug and play

Support:
never dealt with digitech

Overall:
greatest overall blues overdrive pedal

Feature:
Dial layout looks good ...... until you play it.

Quality:
Long-term....who knows. I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt with a middle rating.

Value:
"Value" is LOW ..... don't rate "value" on price ... rate it on WHAT YOU GET for your money. When it comes to making music, the "value" is based on what comes out. These low-tier, low-grade pedals have very little value in terms of making quality music.

Desirability:
Nope.

Sound:
Experienced blues and rock players who demand quality sound & playability know that it can't be had with these low-level, paltry stomp's that Digitech and Boss put out. This pedal is no differnt .... non-transparent, low-grade circuitry; no dynamics; ZERO harmonic content; .... the "Blah" factor is high. SAVE your hard-earned $'s and buy quality ... you'll be ahead in the end. Fulltone, Menatone, Barber, Xotic, T-Rex .... you get what you pay for.

Ease of Use:
Plug-n-Play.

Overall:
Digitech knows how to play to the masses, so they build pedals that do their basic "thing". A serious player will bypass this level of product and never look back.
