This is a nice case, tough as nails, good looking, and it'll hold your guitar securely. The inside is really plush and fits the guitar almost perfectly. It'd be nice if it had a closing storage area, but there's plenty of room in the loose storage areas for all your gear. The outside is hard plastic and everything on it is bolted down. SKB forgot to include my keys to the lock, but they're supposed to ship them in the next couple of weeks. The other guy was right, it does have a peculiar smell to it, but I don't think it's such a big deal. It's not that it stinks like rubber cement, it's just...unique, but definetly present. Vacuum it out, use some Febreeze, whatever, it's not worth missing out on this case. If you're thinking you want to pay $140 for a top o' the line Fender case or something like that, definetly reconsider, this is a great value. I've worked in audio installation and testing for several years now, and SKB cases are the best.

This case is very durable and offers great protection for my Strat. In one review a guy said that the smell of the case was strong. It does have a scent but I can only notice it if I lean down directly above it and smell the interior of the case. It is in no way a bad odor and I have never smelled it on my instrument while out of the case.
It is not likely that I will ever deal with another case other than SKB.

I can trust to put my guitar in this, it's a strong case although i have some doubts about the quality of the locks.

Absolutely worth it, if i'm gonna be carryin my guitar around i want it to be safe and thats what you get with a SKB case.

The case seems to be well made, my guitar fits nicely. There is storage for your stuff. Yes it does have a smell but to me it is not strong.

You can throw it across the room with your guitar in it and it will be fine. Great case.

nice case, fair price. but it stinks. not the quality, the odor. when I first opened it up it almost knocked me down. Now the guitar smells, too. Seems to be better after leaving case open for last two weeks, but am afraid to close it up now. This is enough to not make me buy another SKB case like this.
