Feature:
I think it should have come with a adapter hole, but mabye they didnt put it in because it is battery friendly. The input and output hold dont hold the cables very well but its easy to fix. Other than that its perfect.

Quality:
Its made all out of metal, so its held up for alot of my gigs (although i dont recommend it for gigs, SEE in features.)

Value:
This is probably the best deal you could ever get. i mean 60 bucks for a legendary pedal? Cant beat that.

Desirability:
ehh. Its not like attractive but it does look cool.

Sound:
The sound..Its OKAY, not the best. It sounds alot better with a Boss overdrive, so if your planning to get this make sure you have a overdrive or some kind of heavy distortion, just to bring out the muff tone more. The sustain is not the best, i would definetly recommend a Big Muff USA edition if you want more sustain, but if you want fuzz go with this.

Ease of Use:
Oh yeah, its like the most user friendly pedal, its got 3 knobs but its just Volume, Sustain, and Tone.

Support:
Well, to say ive never had to call the company for a complait or anything!

Overall:
Awesome Awesome AWESOME pedal. The reason i didnt give it a 10 is because of some of the features.

Feature:
There are some major issues here. First off the input/output is reversed which makes cabling inconvenient. Second, there is no power-adaptor option (which is bad if you hate batteries as much as I do). Third, the stomp button is way too close to the chicken-head knobs. I often find this screws me up live as I end up accidentally adjusting the settings when I'm just trying to turn the effect on/off.

Quality:
Very solidly constructed externally... built like a tank in fact. But I've had some internal troubles with it as I tried to use a 9V battery adaptor, and it wasn't too hard to end up stressing the terminal wires and disabling the pedal. But that's really not a standard use so I can't complain too much.

Value:
Great vintage sound, and super cheap compared to actual vintage gear.

Desirability:
I think it's cooler looking than even the original Big Muff. But some of that cool design gets in the way too, so you be the judge.

Sound:
I love the sound of this thing. Great gain-boosty fuzz and sustain. What more could you ask for?

Ease of Use:
Very easy to get your sound. But the glitches listed in the features section make it hard to use live.

Overall:
I've loved, and struggled with this pedal for a number of years. But now I think I'm going to replace it (with a Little Big Muff). Players who are less reckless than me, might get nothing but joy out of it, so this is definitely not a thumbs-down review!

Feature:
it doesnt have a power input but thats fine because i have used mine pretty much every day for almost a year and the crappy 9 volt that came with my ds-1 just keeps going

Quality:
i found this thing in my dad's storage unit and i just had to fix the volume knob from getting crushed by a box and its fine now.

Value:
it is deffinitly worth $60-ish bucks

Desirability:
the thing is amazing there is nothing bad about it exept maybe the power jack, but that isnt an issue

Sound:
the sound is perfect from every thing especially experimental rock lots of feed back

Ease of Use:
3 knobs! very easy to get a thick sound

Support:
it just keeps working

Overall:
it will remain on my pedal board for many many years.

I bought the Re-issued Big Muff knowing that the originals were a little better. But being that originals are also hard to come by, if you dont have the means.. just get a re-issue (Although I have tracked down one from the late 70's with the IC chips and will be purchessing it)

Anyway, about the pedal. It gives incredible tone, plenty of sustain and overall is just a top quality pedal. I really like big fat sound so I will be using this in conjunction with a Creamy Dreamer for even more sustain and tone. But dont get me wrong.. by itself this pedal will give you great sound. Also its very reliable and not easy to break.

If you want a big muff but want it to sound like the old style muff's, you can have it modified by jeff at Sustain Punch (creater of the creamy dreamer) and from what I hear, he can modify it to give that wider sound like the 70's pedals.

I highly recommend this pedal for anyone who loves thick great sounding Fuzz/Distortion.

Feature:
I agree that your foot can turn the knobs unexpectedly when turning it on and off-- it happened to me and I only used it for about 10 minutes. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, it is easy to plug the wrong chord into the in and outputs-- then it plays without it turned on (clean) but if you turn it on the sound goes dead. The reveiwer who returned his I bet had that problem. It's a pretty cool looking pedal.

Quality:
built like a tank

Value:
seems awesome-- I wish it was lower so I could buy it today.

Desirability:
it's pretty cool

Sound:
I just played one of these in a music store and had a ball. The tone knob and sustain are very sensitive and responsive-- move them a bit and the sound really changes. Awesome tone.

Ease of Use:
very easy

This petal make you want to tear it up, and makes you look good while you are doing it.

When I first used my Big Muff while practicing with my band the only thing they said was, "Wow." it is that good (even the drummer got into it... no offence to drummers) This pedal delevers very nice distortion, I play very complicated chords in our sonds and I would hear every note in the cord, this is a must have for any serious guitar player.

The tone quality is excellent, and if you don't have the gain too high, you'll barely ever get feedback, and the sustain is longer than violin (i play that too).

In all fairness, this is simply the best distortion pedal out there. Ive used many before, but the sustain and the rich deep sound just make this what it is. In such a tiny space too! Take my word for it, you WANT a piece of the pi!

this pedal is godlike. It has one of the best lead tones i've ever heard. it sustains longer than all the compressors i've tried. This fuzzstortion noisy, unrefined, and it makes my 15 watt pratice amp sound huge. there is no better distortion than the muff. And if that is not cool enough it comes in a wooden box.
