Its 8 bands, you really dont need more than that. It is made of plastic but its bult solid. If you break it, you probably would have broke whatever you would have been using at the time.
Quality:
Made good. Sounds good. Take care of it and it will take care of you.
Low noise when in use.
Value:
$29.00 cant beat that. It is a great value at the low price it goes for.
Desirability:
Its an EQ, its not sexy!!! You need an EQ to shape your sound not get layed.
Sound:
Sounds good...Why pay more for a diffrent brand name??? You can scoop the mids or crank up the treble. Its a pretty good boost.
