I just received mine today and had a couple hours to play with it. I really don't know what to say. It is just gorgeous!I got the gray and black one. The tuners are just smooth as butter and impressive looking. I LOVE the headstock and every detail of this thing is just perfect. The action is very low and the neck is thin and comfortable. I am not a fan of the D'addario ej16 strings as they seem stiff to me and I really don't like the bright sound. But on this guitar, they actually have a little warmth to them although still stiff. I will change them out tomorrow. But it honestly sounds so good. I am very happy with my purchase for sure. I enjoy working on my guitars and dialing them in, but other than a string change to my preference, this does not need any adjustments at all. I am also very impressed with the fishman ink- 4. It really allows you to dial in the sound and the tuner is super cool. It has a scale to show you where you are and turns green when you hit it. Very impressive!!!! The case is very high quality as well. I can't wait to get the strings I prefer on it, (May try several to get the right ones for me) but just absolutely love it!!!!! I have a martin, a takamine, both 6 and 12 string, an awesome ibanez and a custom built zager. This is up there with the best of them.

As another review of this guitar says I too was a bit skittish about purchasing an acoustic guitar from a company known previously for building primarily fantastic electric hollow and semi-hollow body electric guitars. I took the jump and bought the Bowery acoustic. I must admit that I have been drawn to D'Angellico because of the beauty of the Art Deco style they use. When the guitar arrived I removed the 12 guage strings and installed the 11 Guage [I use 11 Guage on most of my guitars... I personally prefer 11 guage. I also lowered the action a bit and was finally ready for the initial test. I was immediately blown away by the magical sound and the fantastic feel of the neck. Do not hesitate to snap one of these up...you will have no regrets. It is one of those guitars that very rarely show up that sound and play like a guitar that costs three times more than this D'Angelicos.

I was leary of this guitar up until my decision to buy it. The first thing is it is made in Korea. The second is D'Angelico while not new to guitar making, they are new to acoustics. I decided to take a chance and it paid off. I love this guitar. Great highs, mids and lows that compliment each other very nicely. A very solid feeling guitar and the neck feels fantastic. This quickly became my go to Acoustic and I have several upper end acoustic guitars. The Bowery has all the features and sound of my other guitars for half the price. Did I mention that it is absolutely gorgeous also ?
