"The Best Strings for Gigging Jazz,Funk,Rock,Latin you name it!"

I gig often and sub for many bands of different styles. These strings are all I use and they sound great! They are clear, punchy, Funky. Great for slap as well as toning the highs back for Salsa.I use an Ibanez Premium SR1305E 5 String Bass. The only thing is that if you gig often, the strings get dull after two months, if you gig less, then it will last three months or more. The tone is beautiful. Another thing I love about them is that the balls are color coded which makes it easy to distinguish between strings and order.

Musical Background:

I am a professional musician. I have been playing guitar for 52 years and Bass for 48 years.

Musical Style:

My music styles are Gospel, Christian Music (all styles) also Jazz, Funk, Fusion. Rythm and Blues.Rock, Salsa, most latin music

"not for 34" scale bass"

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars

Bought these for my esp ltd b55 which is a 34" scale. The D string transitions into the smaller winding that is supposed to be up near the tuner, right in the middle of the first fret. So it vibrates in the nut. Other than that they are good strings.
