I owned this fine piece for about 2 years and put out a CD with it. It was the closest sound I could find to simulate my old GK Backline 100. I upgraded to a Marshall AVT 150 to get more power for live performances and I've finally grown into that Marshall sound and had to have it. First night home, I realized how much power this little Crate was kickin'...I think it's actually louder than my 150W Marshall. Only thing is that it can't warm a room and the speaker really struggles after about 6 on the the volume, however it's not meant to stand alone in a rock band. If you throw a mic in front of it and run through the PA, you may like the crunch. The only thing it lacks is the ballsy low end wallop you find in a Marshall. I will miss my Crate though - Excellent piece!!!! and price. For recording and practice - you must have it!
