this amp is amazing! crisp clean channel. nice & dirty overdrive. 16 built in effects. (granted--the effects are not the best--but c'mon. they're built in. i find them useful for my style of playing.) it's LOUD (via 2x12s & 120 watts), it's sturdy & it's super affordable. what else can you ask for? the working man's (and touring man's) amp: the crate gfx212t!

i like the built in chorus and stuff like that but i dont care for some of the effects

the cover collects and shows too much dust

i think its great compaired to marshalls randalls and many others that are equally powerfull

the only good feature of this amp is the onboard chromatic tuner, which does come it handy. Other than that the 16 digital effects stink. the chorus is the worst chorus effect I've ever heard. too muddy and it just doesn't come across like amps like the Roland Jazz Chorus 120 does. that's the amp I should of bought in the first place. I know it doesn't have the best distortion, but I want a clean sound. I play a Rickenbacker 360/12 string electric. I sure don't want it distorted. the GFX-212T does no justice for my Rickenbacker. do yourself a favor and by pass this one.

I owned this piece of defacation for a short period of time and I do mean short. Crate you should be ashamed of producing such a piece of crap. the digital effects on this amp s@@@. especially the chorus as it was muddy and so overproduced. I eventually turned off all the effects to just get a clean sound out of it and it was still disappointing. I finally sold it, but it took forever and a day to dump. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it did possess a great built in chromatic tuner. My final analysis: bypass this and buy and all tube amp such as a 65 Fender Super Reverb amp or a 65 Fender Twin Reverb amp and be happy. I rest my case.

If I had to do it over, I would of bought the Roland Jazz chorus 120. This amp has got the worst chorus I ever heard. the effects @@@@. Go for a straight amp, and add your stomp boxes. that's what I plan to buy instead. Some suggestions, would be buy a Fender Super Reverb, or Twin Reverb.
