Feature:
I agree a footswitch would be nice to change between the channels but you can eliminate that by using external pedal effects/processors. Digitech and Zoom make nice digital processors in a range of prices/complexities. I am using a Digitech RP80 processor with this amp and it sounds great whether its clean, distorted, or any other combo of effects you can imagine. I do, however use a little of the amps built-in reverb to sweeten up the sound of the other effects.
Quality:
This amp seems very sturdily built and is my first (and certainly not my last) Crate amp I have purchased and I am very happy with the overall quality. I also like the open back design of the GTD15R versus this amp because its a convenient place to store an extension cord when you are traveling to and from shows.
Value:
GREAT VALUE!!! I have never heard a 15 watt amp produce this much volume and still sound good. Thank you to Crate for their nice speakers and the 12 inch size was an awesome choice for this amp.
Sound:
I don't actually own this exact amp but what I do have is the GTD15R, which was discontinued when this amp was released. Comparing the two, they are identical in every way except their outer appearance.
Ease of Use:
Really easy. Turn the knobs until you like how it sounds and play.
Support:
no problems with the amp so I haven't had to contact support. Also, the 3 year warranty gives me a little piece of mind as I've owned it a year already with absolutely no issues.
Overall:
I will be satisfied with this amp for some time to come. In fact, I'm considering purchasing a second and using both simultaneously for a richer sound.
