Feature:
The kit comes with the necessary tools. Besides that, they are cables!

Quality:
The only cheap thing is the little blade for cutting the cable. The connectors are sweet and the cable isn't thin like George L's.

Value:
I'm not sure how much cable the George L's set gives you, but their cable is thin and easily sliced through. I like thicker cable as it's more durable.

Desirability:
If you like your pedalboard looking all neat and professional, then these should turn you on.

Sound:
The cables are quiet, and they don't have a negative impact on your tone.

Ease of Use:
I put together my board in a few hours, measuring the distances properly. I even made all five cables without testing them as I went. Then I plugged all my effects in and they worked fine! If you have problems assembling them(like some reviewers obviously have), you're probably not following the directions. They are very clear as to what will give you problems. I'll take a point away for the cheap exacto blade holder thing. It did break, but as long as that's the cheap item I'm not complaining.

Support:
Have'nt needed them which is the best thing you can say really.

Overall:
I have had zero problems as of yet. Played quite a few gigs with these cables and they show no wear whatsoever. If you've already spent hundreds of dollars on some decent analog pedals and a nice board, I don't see why you would'nt buy these, unless some professional is wiring your board for you.

Feature:
The hex screw is great. I used to over-twist my screws. They weren't hard to figure out how to make cords (I used to be a tech so maybe my skills are a little bit more than a third try type). The cable was a little long and so I called Core One and asked for more connectors. They sold them to me--no problem.

Quality:
The look is great. So is the rest of the Core X2 cable line. This company also makes Bullet Cable--FYI. I use their coil cables and have even used them in the studio.

Value:
Superior. I gave an over-all 9 because I don't believe in perfect anything, but this really is the best for the money.

Desirability:
It is simple and streamline. I think that it looks high-end. Sexy--no, but the sound I make using the product is!

Sound:
The wire and connectors are superior to George L's. When they first came out, I had some dead tone and I called Core One. The customer service guy said that they had heard of a few defected connectors (first run r & d stuff) and that they would replace my connectors immediately. I was a little hesitant, but when I got the connectors in, I was seriously blown away. George L's cables are not engineered. These cables are engineered for sound. I was a hardcore George L fan. I'm sad to say it, but I have been converted to Core One.

Ease of Use:
Engineered--OFC--these are key words. The connectors by the way are solid brass--not plastic. This kit is serious.

Support:
No problem or complaints. The customer service people don't even give you the attitude like you have done something wrong and you have to prove your case. Second call I made, Ted McCann took my call. Ted is the designer and President of the company. Pretty cool.

Overall:
Lifetime Warranty. I'm not sure that I really need to seek out.

Feature:
Again read the facts they are using OFC copper and gold connectors. These connectors are actually VERY heavy duty. Just my opinion but I think the core stuff is the top shelf for solderless....

Quality:
DO I need to repeat read the construction. They are using the best components....

Value:
best $50 bucks I spent on cable.

Desirability:
looks cool.

Sound:
Ok - I have no idea what the other guys are talking about. Based on the construction alone they use better cable than GL's. I bought mine based on facts shielded cable is MUCH better than wire guys! So I hooked mine up and yes it is not a 5 second deal but they sound great. They are dead quiet - again I think the other reviewer must have hooked them up wrong or something. Well i am very happy with the Core stuff.

Ease of Use:
Easy but cutting the cable is a bit tricky. But they do give you 20 feet that is 10 more than GL's so i was not concerned....

Support:
I did call them because I had cable left over and I needed more connectors I guess they will have them in the market soon....

Overall:
seems it will last pretty good....

Feature:
This connector set was super easy to set up and I connect my complete effects rack and amp/guitar rig all for $50 dollars. I am stoked. I would go for this kit these guys are a smaller company and the detail in quality is obvious they must be musicians. Check it out...

Quality:
They use Audiophile grade OFC copper - for those of you who dont know this is the best.

Value:
$50 dollars cheaper than other kits and we get twenty feet of cable..

Sound:
Not all instrument cables are equal. As coreX2 claims - Well this is true. I was attracted to thsi kit for the twenty feet of cable and superior grade cable. The Construction, conductors, insulators, length and hardware have a huge affect on my sound especially when you are recording. True Cables have the same impact on tone as your instrument, amp and speakers do but most musicians cannot hear it or think a cable less than 10 dollars is ok for their $2000 les paul - doesnt add up - ok.

Ease of Use:
The hex screw is awesome - no more overtightend connectors! Comes with a cutter.

Overall:
coreX2 is a the only coice for the best connector kit that I could find...

Feature:
Lots of connectors and tools to do the job. But still if it affects the tone, NO GOOD!

Quality:
Oxidation on the connector tips

Desirability:
Looks cool but does not work great

Sound:
Kills the tone. Use George L!

Ease of Use:
After the first 3 it got easier... George L was a SNAP on the 1st try

Support:
Won't answer emails

Overall:
George L is better. PERIOD.

Feature:
Ya know, if it wasn't for the god awful sound quality and overall uselessness of these cables...the features are pretty ok. They include a hex key(for the connectors), a small spring loaded retractable razor for cutting the cable, plus sturdy looking connectors and 20 feet of cable....what a shame.

Quality:
Looks good, doesnt sound good....I would never trust these on the road, and definitely not in the studio. I played these for 2 shows last week and had to rip them off my board (the ones the did AND didnt stop working).

Value:
Compared to the other main DIY cable makers (Planet waves or George L), the price is roughly about the same for comparable amounts of cable...(George L will run ya for the connectors tho) ...still the price is not worth the agony...or the waste of money

Desirability:
I thought the packagin looked pretty good and professional grade. The whole setup seemed nice....It was a practical necessity that went wrong.

Sound:
I'm a professional studio musician. I need my sound to sound good at all times. I also perform live with several bands in the tri-state area. I bought these cuz no stores in the area sell George L anymore (u have to order them), so I went with these. Bad move. I wanted to move some pedals around on my board and needed a kit like this pronto... There was a distinct lack in tone and VOLUME!! It actually made my pedals' signals lower. Not a little...but extreme. I thought I was going to have to replace or repair some of my favorite pedals. I took the Core x2's out of the line and blam...the pedals were back to normal. Now u think....maybe u didnt cut them right or follow the directions...I tried to use these things so many times, recut, change connectors, that my 20 feet of useless cable is down to about 7 feet of useless cable. I wouldn't recommend these wires to my enemies.

Ease of Use:
Really simple to put together. THe fact that they give u the tools necessary is cool too. Except for the warping of all things tonal, and having to make more cables just to make sure you're not crazy is why I detracted a point.

Support:
Havent tried yet...maybe I should.

Overall:
Once again...i don;t wish these things on my enemies.
