Carl Martin Octa-Switch II Switcher Pedal

Great for guitarists on the road, this switcher pedal from Carl Martin is housed in an all-metal case.

Excellent switch that does exactly what it is supposed to do. It keeps all my pedals from making any pop sound and the buffer option is perfect. Placing the Octa Switch II in bypass mode is great too. Straight to the amp with no noticeable tone loss. Very pleased with this product.

"Cool idea, if it worked"

First off, I wanted this thing, bad. It's a great concept and is a good value, but I can honestly say do not buy this thing. It arrived fast thanks to Zzounds but it came with some faulty dip-switches which are used to select which loops get actived when you switch on a bank. Some of the switches simply wouldn't turn on a bank and would short out if you touched them even slightly. I made a video about this on YouTube if you want to search Octa-Switch issues. The other problem is if you setup this to split loops into the front of your amp and then some into your FX loop you get insane volume drop and tone loss when selecting the bypass option. I sent it back thinking it was just a dud, new one arrived in like 3 days thanks to Zzounds, but once again same exact issues. I cannot recommed this unit to anyone. Shame on Carl Martin for having these units produced in China, they pretty much lost a customer for life. As a side note though, Zzounds is really easy to work with and I would recommend them to anyone, exchanging my first unit was painless and they shipped out my replacement as soon as they saw I had dropped off the first one at UPS. I don't expect any issues getting a full refund for my second unit.
