10 out of 10Feature:
I do not care much for the features, and I think it has more than I will ever need.
Quality:
The finish is flawless, no loose parts or cosmetic blemishes. The parts you need to assemble fit nicely. Only on the keyboard I see a tiny little bit of misalignment when the music sheet rest is closed down, and the distances between the keys vary a bit. But these are very minor and barely noticable.
Value:
I wanted an inexpensive digital piano, but not a cheap one. I compared the ap45 with the ydp223 side-by-side, and the feel was the same, whereas the ap45's sound was far superior to the ydp223's. That convinced me about the casio, and I do not regret getting the more expensive one. For anything under $2-3-4k this is the best you can get.
Desirability:
My only problem with this piano is the way it looks. The shape just seems to be a little bit odd. Also I wish it came in different colors. (Darker, preferably). But the quality/price ratio makes up for it plenty.
Sound:
Obviously you will never get a true concert piano sound out of a digital, but this unit is pretty good. I would still say other digitals starting in the $4-5k range sound better, but not that much better.
Ease of Use:
The manual is short, and it does not need to be any longer. The buttons and the layout make sense - this is not a complicated product. Easy to assemble, but you will need 2 people for that.
Support:
No problems yet, although I did just get it only a couple days ago.
Overall:
I was hesitant to buy this piano because I could not find any reviews online, and I could never try it out in a retail store. Furthermore, it's a Casio, not a Roland or a Yamaha. But I'm very happy with it, and I recommend it to anyone who can't afford a much more expensive piano.
