Feature:
software synths, free samples, effects, direct-x capabilities, midi sequencing, notation, the list goes on what more could you ask for.

Quality:
crashes sometimes but it has features so that your work will get saved.

Desirability:
This program has almost all the features that someone getting into computer recording would need. You can see some examples of what can be done with this program at www.mp3.com/flatbush

Sound:
The sounds in the dxi synths that come with this machine are descent at best. For a budget sequencing program 48kh is fairly descent.

Overall:
Don't see any reason to change. The only thing I wish they would add is a mastering section. I have Win Xp and it works fine
